  1. May be worth contacting your local jap car specialist- they may have some idea of what you’d be looking at?
  2. I terms of the wheels powder coating may be your best option- not overly pricey in respects of replacing all four wheels and getting new rubber. US style additions are big in the VW scene it may be of use speaking to them about how they go about upgrades
  3. Hi all Not an owner - yet. Circumstances have allowed for me to have a toy again and I’m finally going to scratch that Subaru itch I’ve had since seeing Colin McRae thrashing around in a Legacy in the early 90s. see you about
  4. Thanks for that matey it’s really helped me a stack as I’m in the same position as the OP- the auto issue put me off somewhat as I was desperate for an Outback but erring more towards a Forester
  5. 😞I suspected that might be the case. My hunt for a b-spec continues- thanks matey 👍🏻
  6. Hi all I’ve been looking at Legacy / Outback models as my runabout car- Subaru is a brand I’ve always loved since Colin McRae theee the BC generation Legacy around rallies throughout the world. Having found several Outbacks that pique my fancy I’d noticed that they were all autos. That didn’t bother me until I then found out Subaru employs CVT transmission, something I’ve learned to steer well clear of from my days on the VAG scene. I’ve got to be honest it’s put a real dampener on my enthusiasm but it hasn’t put the fire out altogether. Are there any Subaru auto owners on there that could give me some pointers on life with a cvt ? What to look for when buying? Experience of reliability? I’d be most grateful as I’m quite eager to land a scooby and scratch an itch TIA
