  1. Does anyone have any experience with jdm-planet.com? I ordered a double din fascia kit from them for my Outback on 30-03-2021 and it's not shipped yet. I've emailed them numerous times without a response. Are these guys dodgy? Should I be persuing a refund through PayPal? It's annoying because they're the only people who seem to supply the OEM double din dascia kot for a 2007 RHD Outback.
  2. I ordered one of these to go with it... https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/in-car-receivers-players/xav-ax3005db plus the ISO harness adapter and a DAB aerial https://connects2.com/Product/ProductItem/CT20SU01 https://catalog.autoleads.co.uk/catalog/dab-antenna/dab-aa1
  3. Found one in stock here, I'll order it and let you know what happens! https://jdm-planet.com/product/subaru-outback-liberty-legacy-black-double-din-fascia-av-panel-set-kit-genuine/
  4. https://www.japandirectjapanese.com/jdm-subaru-legacy-outback-bl-bp-double-din-audio-panel-console-fascia-oem-2005-2009.html this!
  5. I did once see a whole AC controller unit listed on eBay from Japan with RHD controls and a Double Din. I don't seem to be able to find them anymore though.
  6. Yeah those are LHD kits and the Emergency Signal button isnt movable to my knowledge :(
  7. Having done a limited amount of searching the only solution I seem to be able to find is a spacer kit from AWDAdventure.com (ADF). 05-09 SUBARU OUTBACK 2" STRUT SPACERS W/ MULTI LINK SPACERS 05-09.OB-2.5SS2MLK https://awdadventure.com/collections/2005-2009-subaru-outback/products/05-09-outback-2-strut-spacers-w-multi-link-spacers?variant=31671232659500 I think that kit would be suitable but is this the right strategy? I was thinking replacement springs/dampers would be the way to go? $600 seems a lot of money for a few pieces of drilled box section and some bolts.
  8. Hi There, I'm considering making my 2007 Outback into a more offroad competant camping vehicle for the purpose of driving primarily on dirt road and mild offroad such as fields, woodland, hills, farm land etc. My initial thought is to: buy some 15" alloys and fit some AT tyres. lift the car by 2" Now I know this will no doubt make my experience on the road worse, but I use the car rarely and intend on making it purely a camping/adventure mobile. I need some advice on the lifting, what's the best way to do it? My intent is to use a decent lift kit rather than just spacers at the top of the struts, I assume a suspension upgrade is the way to go but I would like to hear from people who have done it. Is there anything else I should be thinking about other than tyres and suspension? Any advice is much appreciated.
  9. Hi There, I'm looking to replace the stereo in my 2007 Outback with a modern unit with bluetooth hands free etc however when I look for facia kits the only I can see are for LHD models. I'm not fussy, either single or double din is fine, double prefered for Android Auto SatNav. Is there any way to replace the stereo on RHD (UK) models? I understand the vehicle was low volume in the UK so maybe it's not been worth it for aftermarket manurfacturers to make a facia kit but surely someones found a solution to this? Any advice very much appreciated. Thanks.
  10. Hi All, I've had engine warning light come on and my Cruise light flash repeatedly. I checked my ODB2 finding P0420 - Powertrain - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1) fault. My local garage advised that this could be the lamda sensor failing rather than the cat, so I replaced that and cleared the fault code. Subsequently I've had the engine warning light come back on, and the fault code return, so having spoken to my garage again they've advised the cat needs to be replaced. What are my options here? The car has sone 105k miles and I'd like to get another 100k out of it, it's in very good order generally. I don't want to fit a cheap aftermarket cat, if I replace it I'll use an OEM or premium aftermarket option, which doing some research is going to cost me around £500-£600. The garage has suggested I de-cat the car until the MOT, then see if it fails due to emissions, and if it does replace the cat at that point. I guess my questions are: Has anyone here de-cat'd their Outback 2.5 and had it pass an MOT? Is there a way to permanently clear the fault code that will be caused by the decat? I'm happy to spend the money on a cat if I need to, but I'd prefer to spend it on a tow bar and lift kit. 😂 Any advice much appreciated.
