The lid on my dash-top storage seems to have an issue with the spring that opens it and I'm trying to dismantle it to see what needs replacing. It still woks ok, but there's an issue somewhere with either a hinge or a spring. Has anyone dismantled this before?

April 2010 WRX, silver, 42,200 warranted miles, in mint condition, 2nd owner, garaged from new, FSSH (11 stamps + every service receipt), cambelt Dec '18, totally standard, no track use, both keys. MOT to July '22, a/c, cruise control, c/locking, split / fold seats, CAT 1 alarm, good Uniroyals, refurbished alloys, £8,050 (in Middlesex).
