Hi, I'm a new member just joined 15 minutes ago. Proud owner for 15 years of a JDM 2005 Impreza STI Spec C which has been phenomenal until recently. After warming up to working temperature a loud metallic knocking occurs - it cannot be induced and suspension operates normally (without noise) also the Brembo's do not create the knock nor steering. Have had advice from TDR at Warwick who installed a helical front diff saying the one installed was wrong to factory (the old one a mechanical LSD confirmed by Subaru Cross Road Garage, Shipston on Stour). JDR said the noise has gone, the new differential solving the problem, but yesterday it commenced as its always done. Very loud! Has any member knowledge and experience of this problem.
