  1. Further to the above post, I still have the car, and the assumption that if the glow plugs are isolated by removing power leads to them, abs, cruise control and hill start will operate is correct. The glow plugs will be replaced at some stage in the future.
  2. How are these clusters dismantled to replace engine warning light LED ? Either that or the ECU has been messed with to hide glow plug issues.
  3. Could someone please post the correct serial numbers for the glow plugs , again for a 2012 Legacy.
  4. Hi all. Can a faulty ECM be removed and replaced with another used unit from a similar model car without any issues?. The assumption is that the replacement ECU is in proper working order. Thanks guys.
  5. Hi all. I have had a diagnosis carried out by the Subaru Main Dealer in Haslemere . This was to investigate the hand brake warning light on. The diagnosis showed no faults with any of the braking system. It did show faults with the glow plugs which had been hidden by deleting the EML completely, by others. I am in the throes of returning the car to the dealers who sold it to me because of the nature of the hidden faults. As a matter of interest, if the glow plugs are isolated and the blown 50 amp fuse is replaced, I think the cruise control , ABS and hill start will operate again. Is that correct? any thoughts would be appreciated.
