I'm insured with Hastings Direct, to be honest they have been quite helpful, but the other party has been the biggest issue, Ageas insurance. The engineers firm is also not great, I have got no correspondence off them yet and its been nearly 2 months. They are Exclusive vehicle assessors LTD.
My 2001 Impreza STI has been written off after someone pulled out on me on a 60mph road, I have been put through to a supposed specialist for Subarus who have deemed the car to only be worth scrap value, £6430. Does anyone know a better evaluator for cars of this era as this is just blatantly incorrect considering it had only done 68,000 miles and was in perfect condition. I have attached a before and after of the car for reference so I don't look mad
I have just purchased a 2001 Impreza WRX STI and want to do an oil change before I drive it a major distance. It is a Japanese import and has unequal headers, what oil / filter would be best as I have seen posts claiming 5W-40, but Subaru states 5W-30? I am in the Midlands so there are rarely any extreme temperatures. Any advice would be greatly welcomed!
