  1. Went for the Lesjofors in the end and are much better than the cheapo chinese units although still not perfect as they are still a little slow to lift up from initial opening. Kilen do a set but they are £100 ish for the set and its a fair chunk to spend if they end up being the same.
  2. Thanks Yes i did use that and it gave me the part numbers i needed to cross reference but doesnt give any specific specs of the OE units. My OE numbers are 63269AG000 RH 63269AG010 LH Just wondering if i should just go with a pair of Lesjofors rather than cheapies from China.
  3. Hi guys, We have a 2004 OB and the tailgate struts werr failing so needed to be replaced. Ordered a set from Amazon, fitted them, and now the tailgate needs help to get it past the first foot or so from opening, and then it is really slow to fully open. Ordered a different make/set and they are basically behaving the same. After digging around, i found the aftermarket units are rated at 410nm force each side, but looking on Autodoc, they have a Ridex product that lists 520nm for the right hand, and 410 for the left hand and with cross checking the OEM part numbers against them, this seems to be correct. Is anyone able to confirm? It kinda makes sense that the extra force of the RH unit would certainly help with the opening Cheers!
