Thanks for your response, Mr B. And apologies for the delay in mine. I think - hopefully not famous last words - I've managed to source a replacement. Tuesday will be the day we know. If it's another wrong replacement, I'll be sure to take some photos etc.

Thanks for the quick response, Greenmamba. I'll need to double-check with the garage, but from memory it's just the arm part which is faulty [so I suppose maybe to do with the bracket]. I think the sensor part itself is okay. I'll ask them myself tomorrow.

Hi. My beloved Forester has failed her MOT due to a defective Rear Height Level Sensor. She's a 2007 Forester 2.5 XTEn Auto; body model SG9FK9T. My fourth now of these astonishing creatures, and faultless in the 2 years I've had her until this problem. Low mileage & VGC, and absolutely more than worth persevering with. She's part of the family etc. The garage I'm using have been very helpful etc, but don't seem to be able to source a replacement sensor that actually fits. They've tried 2 different ones now. Might anyone have one for sale? Or know where to access this part? I've found various online places offering what they claim to be the correct replacement sensor, but I'm not fully confident. Obvs I'll be contacting the various places / sellers to ask the question, but thought I'd ask the experts here first. Thank you in advance for any thoughts or suggestions etc. Nick
