What have you done to your Subaru today ?

fitted coilovers, 1.5 hours. adjusting them them to my liking, 6 hours :D Home for a well deserved cold one. -
Hi chaps, well its been a long wait but I have finally fitted my coilovers today. I decided in the end on a set of adjustable MDU's from Malasia, (due to funds). I read all the reviews I could find, some really good and some bad, anyways, they were £400 with free delivery, amazingly, from pushing the 'buy it now' button, they arrived in four days. Fitment was relatively straight forward with all holes and fittings matching up nicely. I still need to have the tracking done elsewhere as the front is too low for this garages equipment. If anyones interested I can keep you guys informed of how they do over the next few months. And of course some self gratification pics. (camera phone, sorry) Before And after (wheels have been on for a while)

Had a spontaneous day off, by pure coincidence my mesh fog light covers turned up at midday, fitted mesh covers, took a photo, uploaded to here, now going to have a beer, love days like this :) -
Quick update, added some front fog light mesh covers, still need a little tweaking but pretty good fitment straight from the box.

Cheers pal, done a bit of research, nobody seems to list the wagon separately so i guess they must be the same.
-
Hi chaps, could anyone tell me if the exhaust systems on the blobeye wrx wagon are the same as the saloon. Thanks in advance.

Cheers guys, I will eventually get window tints although Im hoping to restrain myself from rubbing one out in the back seat. Saving for complete polybush and suspension next, I can foresee arguments with the wife in my very near future
-
And now fitted, one thing i didn't check was the hub size, need a set of spigot rings and center caps. Really bad photos, will get some better ones once daylight arrives, might even throw a sponge at it.

Just a quick update with the new rims so far. Shot blasted and etch primed Powder coated in white Having the rubber fitted tonight, and if all goes well, fitted to the car. :)
-
Thanks Pete, Just to make it clear the green slop was nothing to do with me. I had three colours in mind, gold, black or white, I have decided to go with white for now to add a little contrast.
-
Thanks to Google I now know what a morette is :D (typical noob) and yes I agree they do make a difference, added to the list
-
Yep, modding in moderation as the wife is always monitoring, so far i have the inovit rims, 4 x 225/40/18 boots, the BOV, will be getting the clutch done in a few weeks, suspension in the next 6-8 weeks although not decided which yet and finally the cam belt kit which is due in about 2k. Thats about as far into the future as i can afford right now
-
And some new rims which are currently at the shot blasters having the green slime removed, etch primed, painted and baked.
-
Well thats inconvenient I will investigate further and see what comes up, thanks for your help/advice
-
As far as I can tell from the paperwork it has never been changed, its done 88k with a comprehensive service history.

Just a quick update and associated question, whilst on boost and changing up through the gears the engine revs up between 200-400 rpm when depressing the clutch, at first i thought it was just me getting used to driving a new car but now im not so sure as this seems to happening consistently. Also it has had a custom Ecu remap (BRD/TEK3) from b.r. developments, the graph shows 283bhp/319ft lbs, not sure if this could possibly part of the cause or not. Thinking back to my (dare i say it) Evo days (Evo1) installing a BOV seemed to help with some of the tuning issues, so being impatient, which is my natural habitat, i jumped on ebay and had one delivered the next day, bolted it on, and i think maybe its a little better, at least in my mind. Any thoughts

Hi guys Just bought my first Subaru, an 02 Impreza WRX wagon in black. I have no doubt I will be on here in the near future picking all of your brains. Anyways just thought I would say hi. PS, my apologies for the user name but its been with me a long time ;)
