Yeah the options are vast with that kind of stuff, some of the best films are animated these days. Family ones especially such as Bolt and Tangled, great films although you need a kid with you so you don't look soft, I just borrow my niece ;) . Ouch, I can imagine that being a heart in mouth moment. Very nice of the woman to give you the money back and so on, there are a lot of people out there who wouldn't do that. My brother doesn't like being a mechanic for the same reason, if something starts to go wrong with a car even if he went nowhere near the area he gets the blame.

I love the game for making it so tense... you could spend hours playing the game and not meet anyone then when you see someone it's time to decide if they are friendly or not. Breaking your legs is the worst, you could fall off something about 2 foot high and you are then left crawling for your life! Have you had a look at Banished? That is quite good and very relaxing just once you get the hang of it and the village supports itself it can get a little boring. I've clocked 15 hours so far or something though.

Sounds like a very interest thing to go into, what's got you interested in that Gambit?

Now you are putting me off again, that's why I stopped playing. Managed to get a decent machine gun, backpack and stuff. Was all kitted out and figured I would scout a town....found someone on the floor dead so very timidly went to investigate and BOOM I was given the "you are dead" screen :( . There are some funny moments on it though when you meet people like the guys you know, wish more people are like that rather than just shoot on site.

For me I started off studying computers, did 4 years in college doing that. Couldn't find a job so ended up doing meals on wheels then got a bar job before this popped up. Also worked with my brother at his garage for a few months hence my big interest in cars. So do you go around to anyone who needs support or is it just companies? I get called round to peoples houses in my village that my family know for things like "my internet has stopped working on my laptop" or "my computer is running slow".

Hi all, just a topic for people if they want to discuss what they do as I know some people have a job they love and others have a job they hate. I've been lucky enough to find something I enjoy, I work as a printing assistant at a company called Display Wizard ( www.displaywizard.co.uk ) which is a large format printing company. Been here nearly 3 years, started off knowing nothing about this industry and I must say it got me hooked! Does have its rubbish days, like today I'm tackling double sided prints and the printer isn't playing along . (It's not just large prints, we can do smaller ones as well, did a couple of posters for my mate and it's possible to do canvas). Not the best thing to talk about but you never know.... :P

I play PC games, I have DayZ as well.... fantastic game but not played it for a while. Will have to play it again as it's had more updates.
-
Gaul the Poat I've been racing a lot on Forza, I also play Battlefield 4 and will be playing titanfall after friday.
-
I will jump on tonight and have a go at this, certainly up for a challenge ;)

Fitting a new stereo last night, it's rubbish so sending it back... shame really :( Sounded promising... - Touchscreen - Full 1080p HD - Sat Nav - Bluetooth - SD and USB support So when I had installed it and found that it saves radio stations but not other settings I wasn't happy. Also sound keeps dimming when losing a bit of signal AND it doesn't support anything to do with IPOD!

Those are some pretty good alternatives, surprising what's out there really. I might sell my GoPro soon and either upgrade or move onto a different style of camera.

Need for speed games had a story line? Think I missed that... I liked need for speed underground but after that I lost interest. I'm big on Forza games though. As for the film, yes it does look awesome and I made sure I had my scooby before this came out. Will feel much better turning up to the cinema in it compared to my old fiesta ;)

Mine is on 93k, seeing as these engine just go and go don't think it will be the highest

I will check out the Mobius cams, I use the GoPro mainly for mountain biking so can keep that set up for that kind of action and use a different camera for in car stuff.

Does anybody have photo shop? I use an ipad : (
Gaulson replied to ScoobySTI's topic in General Subaru Chat
Yeah I think a matte carbon effect would look pretty decent -
Thanks, I will have a look into that. Seems like a good option to me

I have a GoPro and a suction mount that I have used to record videos in my cars. In the Subaru however it seems to pick up wind noise rather than engine, I was using a waterproof case though. Looked up online and they said a vented back would be better and it is just still not that good. Maybe mounting in a different location? Currently it sounds like this...

That sounds like one hell of a car... shame it's french though... ;)
-
Well that's a cheap fix ;) . Loving that pic!! Going to have to fill up today... 2nd time since I got the car. Got just over 250 miles out of a full tank, not bad!
-
That is the worst! Almost as bad as stepping on a plug.... wouldn't advise that. On a side note, while it was having work done I put the intake back to standard. It had a cone filter on it which gave a "suck" noise so you couldn't hear the engine. Now sounds beautiful again!

Thanks, I had it put back on last night extra tight and driving to work today she seemed pretty good. Was a good scare though!

This one definitely caught me by suprise, I was on my way home from work and happened to be behind a motorbike. Coming onto a straight I thought "wonder if I can keep up" so gave it some, got round the corner onto another straight and just into third gear there was a pop/bang! All power went, smoke out of exhaust and it died. Obviously first thing I thought was "oh god my car" then once I popped the bonet I realised the intercooler pipe had come off. I was told I was just unlucky but I'm worried it might have been something to do with my driving as It's only my 4th day in the car. (On a side note this bike couldn't outrun the scooby... until that)

She has had a paddle clutch fitted recently so I know that's in good condition. The guy that owned it before me is my brother in law, he had it for 3 years and drove about 2k miles in total and the guy before him had it for 2 years and probably did less. So I think all this driving will be a shock to it's system :P . Yeah I was playing around this morning learning when it starts boosting, although didn't get to open her up at all on way to work. Just a casual drive in, still smiling though. I also find I'm waking up earlier in a morning, wanting to go out.
-
I haven't attempted to launch it yet so when I get some quiet time on the roads I will give it a go. At least if I stall it no one will be around to mock me ;) . Okay, I will have a check to see if anything is going on. Might not mix in that well seeing as I do look a bit like a geek.... :)

Thanks for the advice, yeah I have found I am being more sensible in the Subaru, would prefer to be known as the "nice guy who owns the Subaru" rather than the opposite ;) . On my drive home from work today it started to feel a lot more natural to me so give me a couple of weeks and I should be settled in. Also, as I'm new to all this, what happens in the way of club meets and so on? Would be fun to mingle with fellow Subaru people. :)
