  1. !Removed! i hate you!!!
  2. Got to wait till friday, currently on holiday just wanna get home lol.
  3. Na its a 55 plate blob, im not keen on the hawk eye. Milage was one factor but also the service history, always been serviced at subaru and cambelt was recently done, i plan to keep the car for a long time. So yes i paid alot for it but in the long run i should benefit from it.
  4. I paid 9.8k for mine :0 but only has 54k and paperwork is mint, have a years garentee.
  5. Toffee wheel works very well to get the sticky stuff off, but like previous comments petrol, sticky stuff remover will do the job.
  6. Silver or metallic grey ? I also wanted a blue but could not find one local to me that hadn't had the !Removed! thrashed out of it, and i found a grey one that had the perfect history, took me a good week to make the decision but im glad i got the grey now i find the blue very common :D People are rite though make sure your happy before you buy, i didn't get mine privately i went through a garage so i could get warranty, i paid silly money but i know im covered if anything happens and that makes me sleep better at night ;)
  7. Yes mate add me on PS4 - K1nG--Lee currently on holiday be online nxt weekend.
  8. Very nice indeed, did you sell the old alloys?
  9. Had me laughing :D
  10. Nice one thank you. On all cars iv owned i have always done water pump same time as the belt just to be on the safe side. but this info will make me less paranoid :)
  11. Hi peeps. Brought my sti at weekend and comes with great service history, car is currently at 54k. It had the cam-belt done at 47k but i noticed on the invoices the waterpump wasnt done at the same time :/. My question is whats the percentage of waterpump failure will it last me another 4 years / 50k miles? Lee
  12. Oh really :/ hate taking door cards off will have a look thanks.
  13. Thanks chaps. Ill look into some speakers then, is it doorcard off job or do the speaker protectors just pop off. Lee
  14. Hi everyone i posted a thread in new members section last week but i picked up my STI on saturday so thought i would post here too. 53k on the clock, great service history most from subaru garages cambelt was done at 46k. It has the prodrive package and has DCCD. has 2 mods, HKS Dump valve and a rear backbox unsure what make, also have the prodrive backbox as well. drives really nice and pulls like a train. couple of questions i have. 1) headunit it not standard its a kenwood one, now is it the speakers that are really crap or is it the headunit output? because my astra mk4 van that you see next to my subaru has better standard speakers. Is there any decent direct fit speakers i can get to update the sound abit? just sounds so tinny. 2) on all of the service history i cant see anything being done with the diff / gearbox oil. its on 53k do you think its worth doing a oil change ? or shall i wait for the next service which is feb 2015. 3) DCCD mode, when is this supposed to be used? i dont think i will touch it but just interested. Hope to attend some shows/meets with you guys in the future. Lee
  15. Hi cant wait to see pics
  16. Great thanks will read up on it later. will the logbook state if it has DCCD by any chance? Because if it is DCCD and not a full rear diff mod i can knock him down on price ;)
  17. Thanks for the warm welcome ;) Yes jay i did read about the DCCD model coming with drive ratio switch, would the log book state its a DCCD model ? The dealer is saying is saying that the rear diff switch was a added mod by the previouse owner. Also whats DCCD stand for? Lee
  18. Hi guys and gals My names Lee im from hertfordshire and im about to get my dream subaru next week all going well. Sti type uk with prodrive pack 52k on the clock, this is my first subaru iv always wanted one from a young age ;) Quick question why im here, the sti also comes with a rear diff switch so i can make it RWD, they guy in the garage said when he switched it from AWD it made a loud knock, is this normal as iv read somewhere els that it is but im not 100% sure. Cheers lee
