Steering juddering when parking and using full lock
Morning all I'm after some knowledge and advice please. We've started to notice that our forester judders especially when reverse parking on a near full lock. Especially on the nearside front. As my missus uses the car most of the time she's getting a bit worried. Is there anything obvious I can look at (power steering system, parking test etc). booked it into a penzance garage but they can't check it til Thursday. cheers now Kev

Forester x 53 plate yearly mot fail
Thanks, Mr B. I went back to mot centre to ask him. Wife had taken car in for test and he hadn't attempted to help her out. There are some old plastic deflectors on the headlamps (previous owner must have added them to drive abroad?) Will have them off and the lights polished n cleaned over the weekend. See what they work like in front of a wall. Might even try the toothpaste trick! If i can get it through another year with only the rear drop links to be replaced i'll be amazed. cracking car!

Bulbs both work but not sure whether it is a case of just replacing them or not? thanks for any help Kev

Airbag light-anyway to self fix?
Merry Christmas all our forester 53 plate is due for an mot in the new year and the airbag light is now permanently on. Anyone got anything i can try to find the fault, please? I have had a look at sensor wires and attachments under the front seats, but nothing is disconnected there. That pretty much exhausts my knowledge on the subject! cheers Kev

Remote Key fail, best/easiest place to get it fixed
For some reason we have to use the clicker to get the immobiliser off and get ignition on. I think you can disable it, but it involves a bit of faffing with keypad on immobiliser so thought key fix would be simpler

Remote Key fail, best/easiest place to get it fixed
Morning I am looking to get our Forester remote key (spare) fixed. The single button to remotely open/lock the car doesn't work. Have tried new battery but to no avail. Any useful ideas or reliable places to use, please. We live in Cornwall nr Penzance. or, is it easy to disable the immobiliser etc and just use both keys manually? Thanks Kev

Forester SG 2004 mot fail
Stants and Mr B, a big thank you for all the help sourcing parts, the info/manual etc etc. Got the car through the mot today. Parts all ordered and picked up last week. great stuff! Now!!! there's a bit of a squeel and something not quite right with the power steering. It's particularly noticeable from cold and when putting full lock on, any ideas? (don't tell me, time to get a newer car!)

Forester SG 2004 mot fail
Good evening all, my forester failed its mot today and i am trying to find a couple of parts so that my garage can sort me out. I need to locate a N/S front lower suspension arm bush. The only luck i've had so far is gona set my back £112 on ebay! which seems steep. The other part is the anti-roll bar linkages for front, both sides. I'm sorry to be asking but who else in the country is likely to have this sort of info! cheers

Wanted Subaru spares-crankshaft sensor 2.0x
Hi ya, just joined the forum, have used a lot of the info on here before now, but I am finally stuck! Just had the fault diagnosed after a second no start. It never happens to me, but always the wife ha ha ha! Anyway, crankshaft sensor is the diagnosis. Looked/trawled the net but cannot get one where i've looked. can anyone recommend a decent place for this type of sensor, please? It looks a bit of a tight squeeze to change too. Any advice? cheers kev
