Why yes :)I keep meaning to get a few more video clips, especially from the office as you can really hear the intake noise more than ever :) It won't let me copy the link for some reason, but go on YouTube and type in the following. BeautifulBusso 147 GTA.

Is this spec good?
Cheers guys :) Like I said, if I go for it then it's just a stopgap till I can get my hands on the Wagon that I want next year. Gives me time to learn the ropes when it comes to a boosted Impreza :)

Is this spec good?
So picked up the parts for the scoob today and was chatting with the guy for a while, showed me around his lockup and his huge huge list of spares that he has. Then he showed me some of the motors that he has... He originally bought a pre-facelift Classic Wagon WRX in green that was running quite high power, around 400bhp. Then he bought a facelift Classic Wagon which is spotless so his dropped in components from the green Wagon into the red and vice versa, his just sent me the spec list tonight of what the green one will have that's from the red one. It's as follows :) TD04 turbo. Aftermarket 2.5 system with decat. Aftermarket air filter. Bigger injectors. Stage 2 clutch. STI gearbox and diff. Uprated front discs. Pod with 3 gauges. Bailey dump valve. Now that's all that he knows without looking at the paperwork. Would I be mad to be tempted by it? He wants £800 for it once his fixed a weepy oil gasket leak and fitted new belts plus comes with R900 OBY as it's reg plate :) This will be a stopgap until I can get the Wagon I want next year anyway :) Also any ruff ideas on what it should be running with that list? Cheers as always :)

My 1st Subaru Classic Wagon
Picked up the bits and the engine :) The engine is spotless, it's just had a rebuild, all painted up etc. looks brand new :) The ARB just needs some paint and it'll be fine!! Shocks all good!! The alloys are actually pretty good, gloss black with a little bit of curbing, tyres mismatched but I'll chuck on some super sports :) All in its been a good day, been offered a WRX Wagon in green for £800 too

Agreed!! It's a similar upgrade on the GTA with the ARBs. I'll collect the gear at 1pm so will put photos up :)

It's a 22mm bar, from what I've read it's the best mod. :)

My 1st Subaru Classic Wagon
Good news, found an engine which we collect tomorrow ready to be fitted at the weekend :) Also ended up getting very very cheaply the following list. - RB5 alloys with Goodyear tyres for £40 - KYB shocks and standard springs for £50 - Whiteline rear ARB for free - WRX rear diff for £30 It'll all be fitted at the same time :)

Ah okay, it's never cheap is it? How come it's gotta be on something like that? Can't you just do a map onto the current ECU? Nice little shopping list that :) Also, as you wanna go wide arch, have you thought about the 22b look on a wagon? Only asking as I know someone selling the kit for £300 bud and thought you might be interested ;)
-
UK v5 Wagon
I'll be looking closely ;) : lol: Do you have to go with a standalone ECU then?
-
UK v5 Wagon
Did you get her mapped in the end? Gone through the thread and can't see if you did or not oops!!!

My 1st Subaru Classic Wagon
Well how about this for a spaner in the works!! I put something on FB last night about what happened to the engine and my old mate of 30 years, who I bought the car from called me this morning. Apologised over the engine going pop so has said he will pay for another engine if I find one, I can fit it myself so that's not an issue. Good news but was kinda looking forward to getting a boosted one :)

UK v5 Wagon
Send me a message about it ;)

Sounds pretty handy that then, a bit like a higher tech version of boost gauges etc then?

Just sent you a message Matt, I'd keep the steam cleaner away from that engine bay!! I very rarely use water or a steam cleaner when doing anything but new engine bays with loads of plastic. I do it all by hand :)
