  1. Good afternoon and seasons greeting form all at Unity Leicester Subaru. Just wanted to reply in regards to the quote we gave Mr Matthews and explain the pricing of the clutch replacement before this get out of all proportion. The quote you have all seen is a inclusive of VAT price and is based on Subaru Genuine Parts which are covered by a 3 year/60,000 mile parts warranty and if fitted by one of our techs also covers the labour rate should failure occur again. Book time for fitting a clutch is 5.5 hours (providing everything goes smoothly) as suggested the car has never had one before so all nuts and bolts are probably not going to want to give in easily meaning 5.5 hours can turn into a all day job. break down is as follows clutch disc £267.14 clutch cover £138.68 bearing £119.27 Skim flywheel £90.00 5.5 hrs @ £85.95 sub total £1087.82 VAT £217.57 total £1305.39 I am not going to go into our labour rates versus independents or how much Dave down the road charges, but i have spoken to 2 close friends who own Subaru tuners across the Midlands that agree 5.5 hours for 1 man is the right time for a clutch change and all our technicians are Master Tech trained and accredited by Subaru UK themselves. We are also aware that other companies can beat us on parts prices but none will offer the 3 year warranty on any genuine part given by Subaru themselves. If Mr Matthews wishes to discuss further he is more than welcome to pop in. Again Happy Holidays Mark Hensher Dealer Principal
