Hi all I went to get my Impreza wagon wrx UK MY2002 remapped. The chap read my ecu fine but when he did a test write it lost connection with the ecu. He re-tried the test write and it was fine. He did this a few times and it would randomly lose connection. Because of this he has advised me to get a spare ecu in case when he writes the file to my ecu it bricks it. The questions I have are: Is this a common problem? If I take his advice will I need just the ecu or will I need the ecu and keys with chip for immobiliser.
