  1. No-one told me that all my fuses were mini blade!! That's £5.85 wasted.
  2. Thanks for the response. Yes, I do have a handbook but it's confusing. At one point it's called the "front power supply socket" but in the fuse list it's "accessory power outlet (instrument panel)" - if it's the latter it is No. 20 (in the passenger compartment fuse box) 10A. Same as yours, so I'm guessing that's the one. Thanks again.
  3. Hi all My front cigar lighter socket isn't working so I'm assuming it's a fuse. But which one. Any ideas?
  4. It's a JVC KW-M745DBT but I also had to buy a replacement reversing camera. Halfords installed it.
  5. My 2015 Forester had a touch screen, a reversing camera, DAB radio, Bluetooth, smart phone connection and satnav. I paid around £500 to replace all this with a touch screen, a reversing camera, DAB radio, Bluetooth, smart phone connection and satnav. What did I do that for?
  6. Thanks PeteB. I have since posting my question had Halfords fit a JVC touch screen Apple Carplay/Android unit to my Forester. Not entirely sure yet whether it was a good buy.
  7. Hi Foresters Has anyone tried, successfully, to retrofit Apple Car Play to a Forester? Mine's a 2015. If so, how?
  8. Amazing!! It's been months since I last signed in to the Club and did so a few seconds ago because I had a problem for which I was seeking a solution. My battery ran flat and since replacement the one touch window control on the driver's side does not work. The very first post I found was this one! I'm not usually this lucky. Thanks Seb and everyone else.
  9. Nope. Coolant levels are fine and there is no overheating, including on a long run and in long periods of stationary traffic. Weird, huh?
  10. Thanks Jay. The smoke is whiteish. What would be causing it to burn coolant, if that's what it is?
  11. Hi all I have a 2015 Forester XC Premium. It's done a smidge over 37k miles and it emits quite significant amounts of smoke when accelerating, either from rest or on the move e.g. when overtaking. I spoke on the 'phone to a Subaru dealer technician who suggested changing all filters, particularly the oil and fuel filters of course. This was done at its last MOT / service but it hasn't solved the problem. Anyone have any ideas?
  12. Hi all I'm a proud new owner of a 2015 Forester XC Lineartronic. Excellent so far - just love it! The only fly in my ointment is that I can't find a definitive solution to my bike carrying problem - is there a rear mounted (NOT tow bar!) bike carrier out there that is recommended for my new P&J?
