We all know that 20% meth, correctly mapped can produce up to 10% more torque and power, however I would like to know if any of you guys use it and how long can you keep it in fuel tank?

Hi, Can a Hawkeye Wrx be mapped on speed density with ecutek?
-
Car has RCM Headers savage.
-
Hi, Sorry for late reply lads, been really busy. Yea got 3 port, Did Pat use Speed Density Tidgy?, I have spoke to Andy Forrest and he reckons, ECUTEK on Hawk ecu can easily cope with 1.7-1.8 bar, I assume he uses Racerom Speed Density rather than rescaling maf as this is dangerous, he says ECUTEK OEM boost control is fine.
-
On 419bhp graph boost went to 1.5, then reduced to 1.3 then went back up to 1.5, as turbo was taking over ecu. When FMIC was fitted, mapper managed to get a 1.3 straight line. however I have a feeling this has reduced spool, must be due to a less aggressive wastegate duty on spool to get 1.3 bar, I believe this as I did see one spool he done, which was 1.5 bar in which this boost came in much quicker but quickly overshot. He was using open source software and tried and tried but could not get any more torque safely without the overshoot, as 1.5/1.55 bar would have give this. I suppose it would be trying to capture the spool capability of the package whilst stopping overboost, as don't want to go above 1.55 bar as on SCDB. I know syveccs is one option but it is really expensive and would rather live with first graph than spend that sort money. The question is does ECUTEK software with Speed Density Mapping give better boost control? visibility to mapper to increase torque safely?, Could Japspeed FMIC be causing torque loss? (Cant see it as got advanced ignition timing with fmic), Just think 392lbft on a MDX321T 2.5 is a bit low.
-
I have not pal, do you think a Japspeed FMIC would cause 600rpm of lag?, Here is a dyno at 1.5 bar with TMIC, mapper could not let it go below that as turbo at time was new and would not let him. I watched mapping and boost profiles pretty much match torque 1.3 392lbft, 1.45 I think it was 420lbft.

Hi, This dyno is of a Forged 2.5 SCDB, Japspeed FMIC, MDX321T, RCM Headers, RCM Induction kit (100mm MAF Housing), Upgrade Turbo Inlet, 850cc Lateral Injectors, on a open source map at 1.3 Bar. Do you guys think there would be a improvement on a ECUTEK map at 1.5 bar?, car is a Hawk so would have Speed Density map with Racerom Features. Anybody got a similar spec dyno to compare to?

Hi, Has anybody had an experience of Simtek on a Newage DBW Impreza?, I have MDX321T limited to 1.3 bar on standard ecu but don't want to spend £2k plus on SYVECCS, Zi can Supply fit and Map Simtek for Newage for £1250, seems good, or is it?

Max boost 32 bit DBW Newage ECU

What turbo, boost was that at? -
Hi, I have a car with MDX321T, RCM Headers, Forged 2.5 SCDB, AVCS, RCM Induction kit, currently on TMIC with standard mapped ecu but getting mapped on FMIC on 6th May. Power was v420/420 on Toyo Sport headers at 1.4 bar, however turbo always wants to go past that and gives fuel cut, wastegate open etc, even with a !Removed! on ignition to reduce temps due to FMIC. Do you guys think it will run at 1.55/1.6 bar to reduce the overshoot on standard ecu? p.s the overshoot happens more with RCM headers. Is syveccs only option?
-
API actually done the engine, however looks like they are now gone, however I think Mark is competent, he also gives a 6 month warranty with the build and only charges £350 for mapping. He fitted the MD321T and Injectors, great service. He is also a one man band, which is good as it means no dodgy apprentice will be on it, it will be build by him. He had a few builds in, and is used to building 700bhp time attack cars, plus he does freelance work for Subaru uk, looks like a really professional set up. It will take three trips, one to drop off, one to get car for run in, one for final map. I would give him a call if I were you, as he is really fair with his pricing. When are you thinking about getting it done confused?

Hi Guys, Just had a MD321T fitted to my 2.5 WRX Forged on a 5 speed box. It really flies. This map ( See attached) was at 1.45 bar, could not have 1.6/1.8 bar due to heat on TMIC, going to get FMIC fitted. Does the Japspeed work for £299?. Would highly recommend mark at TDR Warwick, he knows he's stuff and this is a great map for 1.45 bar holding it right to the redline. Specs for this- Forged 2.5 WRX 5 Speed Tubular Headers RCM Induction kit Uprated Silicone Turbo Inlet 3 Port Lateral 830CC Injectors MD321T Billet 3 inch Exhaust System Decat Uprated TMIC (Ebay Job) Also running BC's and Alcon 330mm Brakes on front

Hi, I have a VF48 for sale that was fitted to a 2.5 WRX. It made almost 380lbft of torque at 1.4/1.35 bar, with a really quick spool. The turbo has only done 8000 miles, 2000 of which were running in a new engine at 1 bar. Only selling as buying MD321T (Want more power haa), will make great upgrade for somebody though. The MD321T is getting fitted on 15th of Jan so can get it to you by 20th. £480 £15pp. Got vid or it running on car to prove condition, I will send it to anybody that wants to see it. Contact 07845048403 for more info and vid

Hello, What do you guys think of this Dyno?

Tbh should see more torque at 1.5 aswell -

I run 99 pal v power I also have a full decat and get spec headers so should be getting 350 at least Yea I think it needs 1.5 bar and that should give me 350 -

Yea, Looks very similar Confused, the mapper said there was loads of duty left, I suppose it is a cheapish solution when getting it mapped again to put a set of 750cc's in. (They are already 550cc in 2.5) Do you guys reckon that the 2.5 inch after the 3inch downpipe could be having an effect on peak power? - if so new list! Forge Actuator, 3 Port Boost Solenoid, 3 inch Cat back, 750cc injectors, another map Conusedbrog, What boost are you running? -

I am in West Cumbria the age blip was a wiggling probe on last run so you don't feel it yea I thought vf48 would flow 350bhp at least I think it may need to be ran at 1.5 bar to get 350 with a forge actuator and 3 port for more control injectors have duty left so plan now is to get that done and another map it was mapped by TD Developments in Leamington he is really good that was on 99 v power BTW -
Hi All, I thought I would join the forum as it seems like a place to meet Subaru owners. My first post is about the Dyno that I had done today. I have attached the Dyno Chart. The car is a 2006 WRX 2.5 5 Speed Is 316bhp and 380Lbft low with the following Mods? - Custom Map Forged Engine VF48 with Billet Wheel @ 1.35 Bar (Standard Actuator) Uprated STI TMIC GT Spec Headers DW 320lph Fuel Pump K&N Panel Filter 3 inch Downpipe with 2.5 inch to Prodrive Backbox Standard BOV/Injectors Other Mods- Just to introduce myself Alcon Front Brakes, BC Coilovers, TD wheels
