  1. Hi all, bought myself a 99 uk turbo impreza stupidly cheap as it needs some serious TLC, it is completely standard, engine has a bottom end knock ( will be removing and digging into this in the coming weeks) also bodywork is rough, rear arches are rotten, bootlid needs replacing and overall needs a tidy up, Plans I would like to first of all get it running with maybe some upgrade parts ie bigger turbo, exhaust system, front mount, fuel pump, injectors, etc, which i will be adding as i go, but before getting any of these i need some advice on whether to if its not too far gone repair the engine or replace? I also plan on having any rot cut out and new metal welded in and then stick some wide arches on and style it up a bit (but not too ott) This isnt my first impreza its actually my 3rd i had a 93 type ra which sadly the turbo gave up on me (before i trained mechanically), also a 98 uk turbo which i had to give up due to finances insurance cost etc, anyway im now of an age where insurance is not bad and overall costs i can handle well, Now as i say ive had a couple but dont know that much about them overall just the basics, so any info on straightforward upgrades and suppliers of engine parts etc and best places for spares and maybe carbon fibre extras? cheers dan
