Ruddy nora clive did I not get back to you as only just seen this!!!!??? Cant see a date on my phone so could of been months or weeks ago lol. Still sandbaging the start up but in my favour ive got a couple of 90deg hose bends to put in (try as not much room) as not happy with a few connections. Definitely going to pop the crank sensor plug off to get some oil round as its a 2 min job and better to be safe than sorry as had plenty of that lately lol :-) Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

LMFAO and your not wrong my face was like a picture as just didn't expect the POWER and caught me right out but mr Mazda didn't last long did he [emoji108][emoji106] Was a right pain u got pulled but u wasn't the only one and we were just pottering back too and u no they were after modified cars to try and find anything else not disclosed to the insurance company's but finding your blown fuse on the brake lights was a god send and soon on our way [emoji41][emoji106] Agree wish there were more local people out there to help noobs like me so finding u was a massive bonus and appreciated it is Clive for you to to take time out and sort my scooby out so I can now enjoy and not worry it's going to go bang on me. Again I can't thank you enough for your time and effort mate and promise your free of me for a few weeks till Bury lol [emoji106][emoji15][emoji12][emoji41] Catch up soon mate Garry

Hi guys Just want to say a massive thanks to Clive (Savage Bulldogs) for taking the time to change all my oils from front to back [emoji106][emoji41] This guy is an absolute gem and a top decent honest guy and this forum is lucky to have someone as knowledgable as Clive end of. I feel blinking privileged to have had Clive offer to change my oils as I wasn't sure what and wasn't done on the car as I've only got old old service history and just didn't feel right until it was done. Wasn't as straight forward as it seems (was it Clive [emoji849]) and I won't go into detail but to say it was fun especially the ride to go get some engine oil in Clive's chariot now that thing flies like the wind and oh the slight diversion via those flashing blue lights ha ha[emoji100][emoji3] Now I'm about to start making another (Clive to do) list lmao [emoji12][emoji41]

Been looking at this scoob on Facebook it's a the terzo version with a 2.5 lump in it and anyone got any info please..
-
Thanks again for the info and advice and yea the scoob language takes some getting used to lol ive been looking more tonight and you no what I'm really liking the older style scooby and please excuse my lack of knowledge on what model but pre 2000 I think but gonna be a mine field to find a really clean uk one unless I go down the JDM route again which I won't rule out for now. ive checked out the sti and yes your spot on with being just out of my reach for the sort of mileage and condition I'm after and being beefed up box/breaks can only be a good thing and again I've not really looked that much into specs yet but I'm leaning towards a fairly stock wrx blobeye with maybe a uprated exhaust but untouched under the hood so I can tinker at a later date but will most definitely have it mapped for a few extra horsesπ Dont get me wrong I like the looks of the the sti better as well as the pre-2000 than the wrx uk but as they say beggars with not enough money for them can't be choosers ha ha
-
Handy with the spanners then which will save you a fortune on labour costs and yes a good re-map will even make a difference now without any mods!!!

Hope you got deep pockets with plenty of money in them as its not a cheap fix and keep your thread updated as would like to no which way you go ππ

Thanks Mecka i emailed the guy and says he's the forth owner he thinks WTF so I'm not interested as it smells fishy or he is thick as you no what ha ha. thanks again for the message πππ Thanks for the welcome Jay ππ
-
Thanks for the welcome mateπ ive been looking at the wrx uk/sti and shame about the 2.5 Hawkey engine troubles as I do like the newer age look so will stick with the bug eye which to be honest looks great and I'm learning more and more each day with blob eye/bug eye/hawk eye etc and at 1st I though what's all this slang mean and was lost ha ha. also thanks for the advice on the buying guide and will have a look soon as I can't have enough knowledge it's just remembering it all π Thanks for the offer to keep an eye out and once I'm hooks up with a scoob hopefully catch up with you at a local meet π
-
Nice scoob mate and defiantly the right choice to remove that eeeerr OTT rear spoiler and now it looks spot on ππ
-
Yea low mileage if it's real and what sets my alarm bells ringing is 5 owners in that time and what did they just buy it to sit in a garage and never be used????? the car looks clean enough and it's not far away but unless he replies back to me with a dam good reason why there has been 5 owners in only 22000 miles of its life I will flick onto the next car as I'm in no rush at all ππ
-
Hi Mecka thanks for the advice and been surprised in the past with someone's "MINT" condition only to turn out junk but to be fair most people do describe any dinks/stone chips or scratches as there's going to be on a 10yr old car unless it's been in bubble wrap all its life and I'm realistic on condition and was searching auto trader and look at this I just found my dream car... Hi to all 50yr old previous boy racer and ive owned a mk1 escort Mexico/Skyline R33/300zx TT and I'm in the process of looking searching here and auto trader eBay etc as we'll as doing some serious research into what I'm letting myself into before I shell out my hard earnt cash. My budget will be around 6K and I'm set on a wrx uk model and so far there are loads about but the mileage seems high for there ages but that might just be me as both my jap imported nissans had low mileage and my main question is do I purchase a stock wrx or try and find one that's been properly modified (engine) as I'm wary of home jobs as I've seen and read horror stories,as for the exterior I'm happy to have the sti rear wing and any subtle changes done to the bodywork as from what I've seen I like for an oldy in his 50's (prime) but a boy racer through and through lol. im from the Essex area so once I've got myself a scooby I will join in on outings as used to do a fair bit back in my Nissan days so no stranger to meets and I've missed them since I became a boring old !Removed! but life takes us in different directions but I'm back to pick up from where I once was if i can find the car for me and I won't just buy anything as I'm very particular and will travel all over the uk to find the right one for me so I can imagine this thread will be lost for a while till I update with hopefully pictures of my new car but I wouldn't hold your breath guys as I can see this taking sometime ha ha right enough waffle as I do get carried away sometimes (age related lol) Garry
