  1. I have an 07 subaru impreza 2.5i. I've been driving the car for about 1000 miles now and I have a couple issues but no check engine light. The car is bucking/idling rough but when I am driving it's smooth sailing. Also whenever I get over 3k rpm there is a loud continuous screeching noise coming from (what my mechanic thought) was the alternator and the belts. Just installed a new alternator and the noise is still there whenever I go over 3k. The weird part about it all is that there is no check engine light. I had brought it in a while back when I first bought the car to get the check engine light that came on diagnosed, and it was a cylinder misfire. I was teaching myself how to drive the car and was pretty rough on it so ever since the code was cleared it never came back. Any suggestions as to what I might be looking at here? Thanks!
  2. Blacked out the grille, had BfGoodrich G-Force Comps mounted and balanced, got an alignment done, changed the oil (Valvoline), blacked out the center caps, detailed the inside, got $4 in loose change out from underneath the boot, installed new running lights and led interior light, and threw a spectre air intake filter in. Yesterday and today were very productive days for me👍
  3. I'm going to be bringing it into the shop as the small oil leak and a few other problems are going to be diagnosed. It's coming from the front of the engine and it's dripping down onto a sheet of metal at the bottom. Not really sure what I'm looking at that's why I'm bringing it to my mechanic. I'll be doing all the fluids next week starting with oil and coolant, then brake fluid and checking the level of power steering. How often should differential fluid be replaced?
  4. Hey everyone I just bought an 07 Impreza 5 speed. It is completely stock and I wanted to make this thread to introduce myself. My name is Tim and I just sold my 07 Volvo S60R. It was sad to see it go but I needed something new. The subi has 150k miles on her and has a year old timing belt, water pump, clutch, and a few other thing that I can't remember. There is a small oil leak and metal on metal vibration noise coming from the shifter when driving. Took it for a spin for the first time today and man am I impressed. Didn't stall once. Here are some pics :) Advice on where to start? I was thinking flush/bleed and replace all the fluids then go to tire/wheel options. Maybe even a fresh paint job? Thanks!
