  1. Hi, Just joined and hope someone can help. I've had a 57 plate Forester XT for five years (now at 75K miles). I've been looking to change it for something I can use as a towcar (car transporter trailer for trackdays). I currently use my LWB LandRover which is fine except that long journeys are a bit of a pain. Trying to get something with similar performance to the XT is difficult - unless I go for Cayenne/Q7 etc. I'm wondering about upgrading the XT instead - towbar (obviously) plus new suspension, new audio, new exhaust etc. (possibly have the bodywork refreshed - just a couple of door "dings"). I reckon for about the price of a year or so's depreciation on a Cayenne I could end up with a nice piece of kit. Problem is - I'm in the middle of a major building restoration and can't find the time to do the work myself. Does anyone know of a decent specialist in the North Wales/North West area I can have a sensible conversation with and hand the work to? Any advice would be much appreciated. Oh, and one more thing, having thrown away the secondary air pump (!) I also need an ECU guru to delete the appropriate codes so I can have my cruise control back. Any suggestions? Cheers, Phil
