  2. ok guys as im working yet again today late shift again i been outside working on my car since 7.30am just come back in i removed the airfilter box from near the arch took away that resonator box and had a pipe going to my air sensor and my cone attached to my air sensor guess what no difference in sound really just more of a hollow grrrrrr with a bit of whine so i removed all again and reverted back to standard setup and sounds better than the whine and hollow sound maybe perhaps its the wrong type of cone i have i dont know but cheers for help guys
  3. been told the black box connected to my throttle body is a helmholtz resonator whatever that is

  9. ok my adapter arrived this morning couldn't wait to fit it went to her removed the cone filter and put her airbox back on, she wasn't happy lol removed from pack and guess what it wouldn't fit it was bigger than what i needed and bolt holes were not in line so i removed Air sensor and took inside house and drilled new holes in adapter and now it fits lol no difference in sound only now it sounds like a turbine on startup and when i turn ignition off sounds like turbine slowing down not had time to take it for a spin yet as i got work soon till late grrrrr can i ask maybe a stupid question to some of you but my mates 1996 scooby like mine does not have the black plastic box connected to carb like mine. his has a black pipe that goes straight to air sensor then to airbox and his sounds better. mine has the black plastic box connected to carb and then a pipe to air sensor then another pipe to airbox why how which ? lol sorry that aint a pic of mine as camera on charge but i guess you all know what i mean

  16. ok may be a daft question to all here, but i'm new to scoobys i wanna fit a cone filter to my car but cos of the MAF sensor bolted to the airbox how would i go about this please anyone ?
  17. yeah mirrors getting done also when i get round to it never have enough time to do the car
  18. day off from work today, so thought i would do a little more work on the scooby removed lights indicators etc... fixed all dents ans scratch's then primed gave the bonnet another going over while i was there. just roof and sides to do now
  19. No i'm don't do spraying for a living. the reason i am going white, is that over here i have only seen 1 white scooby and all the others are either red blue green or blue, so i wanted different also i have this decal set ready to go on car when sprayed ( pic of decal set i got below ) i never have enough time to do bits to car i just do when i can, thats why its being done in stages next to be done is roof. white paint has been ordered already though. the exhaust makes a big difference in sound and looks.
  20. fitted new STI exhaust today and finished off priming boot and spoiler and bumper. been busy at work so not much done.
  21. lol its not red and white red is original colour and what you think is white is primer the whole car is gonna get primed and then sprayed white thanks for the comments
