So there I was driving my SG9 down a private road at a great rate of knots, when I hear a single beep (similar to my alarm beep) when I get past 110 mph. Is this a built in Subaru feature to warn you to back off, or was I imagining things?

No idea mate, did you turn round and try and make it do it again ?
