MORNING GUYS. JUST JOINED SITE.

LOOKING FOR SOME ADVISE.

I HAVE GOT A 2004 IMPREZA WRX. ON HARD ACCELERATION I AM GETTING A REAL BAD LOUD RUMBLING NOISE IN ALL GEARS. NO NOISE ON NORMAL TOWN DRIVING.

PLEASE HELP. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Nothing to do with tyres is it? 

obviously going to be worse at speed and also worse out on the open roads (with rougher roads) 

If its really bad could be a wheel bearing. 

if you PM me your email address I have a PDF on replacing the rear wheel bearings, just for your info :) 

Hard acceleration noise could point towards your drivetrain... differential most likely. I'd say gearbox but if you have all gears and they feel good then most likely not :).

 

Does it get worse when turning a certain direction? If so then wheel bearing could be at fault, should get louder or quieter when turning.
