ginger Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Hi all I have recently had a service and repair (booked in early as I had engine light come on) they found the front Lambda sensor front - blueprint gone and that I required new however a couple of days later the engine light came back on again and so I went back down and there diagnostic program/laptop came up with the same fault code after they inspected/tested the back Lambda sensor and also the exhaust/cat sensor (apparently the only other components associated to this fault code) there advise was that this sometimes happens where a new part (Lambda sensor front ) is fitted in line with older components puts the reading the vehicle management at odd with the older components thus the fault code again. They have advised me to put up with the engine light it as in there opinion my back Lambda sensor and exhaust/cat sensor doesn't require changing and would only be an expensive exercise. Welcome any advise It isn't a main dealership but a very good and trusted specialist garage many thanks ginger
Gambit Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I'd maybe clear the codes if you have one of the OBDII Bluetooth devices and just see how it comes back again. Might not have wiped the ECU so it still thinks there is a fault.
