Hi all I've bought a 1999 2.0 turbo in good condition but am having trouble starting I was told either key isn't being recognised or transender is at fault I don't have four digit code but do have the sixteen digit code.all started after replacing car battery any help most apriciated

This says if you have the 16 code you can get the 4 digit from your local dealer by showing proof of ownership and the 16 digit code.
