I need some help or wondering if anyone has experienced the same problem.

Last night my heaters would only blow cold air and when stationary the temp gauge would start to rise. As it was late I’ve parked it up and left it till this morning.

I’ve checked coolant level in the tank behind the radiator and seems ok.

I took the car out and the heaters started to work but only when the car is moving as soon as stationary they street to blow cold again.

This is my first Subaru and I’m in no way a mechanic so any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated as at the min I’m fearing the worst.

Thanks Shaun

Hey
Sounds like a faulty heater matrix which should be in front passenger footwell
Either that faulty water pump

Has car had head gasket gone
Have you owned it for long ?

Similar to what I had mate and it turned out to be blown headgasket. Could be the thermostat if you are lucky, but get the test done for gasses in coolant before spending any money!
