Hello, recently started getting a loud squealing on cold start up on my 02 wrx, lasts for about 30 seconds and then just stops all of a sudden.

Took the belts of, looks like a bit of rubbing on the side of alternator belt.

Also the pulley on the alternator, when turned by hand makes a small squeak, could this be the cause of my problem?

Doubt the alternator would make that noise fella, could be anything if I’m honest bearing for example ? Sorry not much help but try to rule out the alternator for you 👍🏼
