When things get back to normal I am thinking about getting a Gen3 for the 4x4 with hatch and decent power. 

Looking for advice on what are the big things that can go wrong and cost money and I need to watch for? Just got burned on another vehicle which despite reputation for toughness turned out to have a chocolate engine fitted for a few years before it got fixed. Trying to avoid stepping on another landmine with the Impreza. Any advice welcome. Thank you
