Rear outback 96 door doesnt open,

Ok ive just replaced my front drivers wing, i disconnected the battery before i did the work and all back together again, but when i closed my rear door all was fine until today, it wont open so any ideas what has caused this and how to unlock it. Ive locked and unlocked it a few times and no change

Update for anyone who comes accross this issue. If your car like mine doesnt have the self release mechanism the only way is to play with the locks on the doors as the electrics went a bit ott and all doors including boot changed the locking order so by checking all the doors and changing the locks to match should revert the rear door, takes a bit of time and is tedious but works.
