September 19, 20223 yr My battery recently went flat. I removed it to charge and found that it would not hold charge and needed replacing. I purchased a new battery and fitted it. Car had stood for 3 days without a battery. Now when I try to lock the car by the remote or by touching the sensor on the door handle the car locks but the indicators start flashing there are a few beeps and then the alarm starts sounding. It stops when the unlock button on the remote is pressed. Does the alarm system need resetting, and if so how?
