Lin Posted July 5, 2024 Posted July 5, 2024 morning all, i have read that there is a successful class action in the US ref batteries and poor performance. Any word about this in the UK yet?
TomC0 Posted October 1, 2024 Posted October 1, 2024 Never had a flat Battery in 40 years until I bought a Subaru - Then 4 times in six months, rest of the car is good, but the Battery is just not up to the job. I'd be interested in this too. There doesn't seem any other way to effectively feed this back to the maker.
wodge Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 First year of owning a brand new XV I have had 3 flat Battery problems to date.Battery changed under warranty after 2 months but have still had problems twice since. Looking to upgrade the Battery to a premium 65 amp Battery.
RobertG Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 Having owned a (used) 2010 Legacy for many years with zero issues, I recently updated to a 2019 e Boxer Forester. A very nice car - except for the Battery issue, which is rather draining my considerable reservoir of brand loyalty. At present I'm not not able to use the car and my brand new Battery has completely discharged within a month - its predecessor was pronounced dead by the RAC, as well as being the wrong type for the car. Until I'm back on the road I'm thinking that a Battery isolator would be a pragmatic solution - any recommendations? Also I'm assuming that I just need to isolate the main Battery - i.e the one on the left (i.e passenger side on a a RHD vehicle). That battery has a sticker on the positive terminal cover that says it is the only one to use for jump starting. Thanks everyone!
