Jolly Green Monster
I have seen good results with motul 300v 15w50 and millers 10w60. Plug wise upto 300ish hp ngk pfr6b over 300hp ngk pfr7b and beyond 550hp racing 8s. Varys depending on the year of the car but usually 0.6mm plug gaps if early car (v1/2) 0.7mm v3 onwards. Simon I went for the pfrb6 plugs.factory set at 0.8. This for my 2000 Subaru forester.I always thought oils like you mention above are to heavy on the engine lol
Jolly Green Monster
If your a fairly standard forester the yes the recommended by subaru grade oil is best. I would go fully synthetic
