  10. Yes I like the bug , I drive a 02 impreza GX its a quirky looking front a guy I know who had never saw one B4 actually thought I had a " TOYOTA COROLLA " !!!! I was miffed to say the least but When I saw one a 2001 model I saw they both have round headlights and to a non savvy car person they would think they were the same !!! . I am saving up to change my lights I am modify ing my front and rear to look like a hawk eye
  11. Very nice car looks like it has been well cared for not like many of them at that age have not been looked after and genuraly thrashed but nice one can i ask you what insurance company you are with please ? You see i am 37 but i am classed as a new driver as i jjus got a uk licence on the 29 april this year but I have been driving for 20 yrs I passed my test in northern cyprus as i lived out there as my dad worked there for years and its the turkish side so my licence wasnt able to be swapped so i had to sit a test in the uk both theory and practical , I passed first time naturally lol but i am classed as a newbie driver it pisses me of sooo much as now i pay almost 2500 a yr fully comp !!!! and before i had to resit i was £ 300 full comp for my saab 93 aero convertible 2.5 turbo !! mad mad rip off the insurance companys are ,
  12. Yes the subaru badged ones do like nice like the grey one in the pics . I will call the dealers for the next time I going to england and arrange a test drive . I have did a bit more digging about and found out they share the same chassis and have a few more aspects in common with the SUZUKI CARRY mini vans

  14. very informative :-) thank you , I have the basic black plastic ones on my car and I saw a MK1 impreza with "CARBON FIBRE" effect sides I was thinking of changing mine for the same carbon look and i think I will now as it will save me paying out labour charges to my garage by doing a bit of D.I.Y. happy days
  15. You going to put "MUD FLAPS" On ?
  16. they do sell them in the UK But only as "IMPORTS" I found a company that sells them , My mrs is looking for a car and I think as our second car to get one of these , As I have always had a little fancy fro the VW campers the early models & I am a SCOOBY fan so one of these would be ideal for us combing 2 of my likes into something practical , Can I post the link to the page of the company that sells these ?? They also do a lot of " normal" subaru mods etc
  17. Here are pics of the SUBARU VANS that are for the eastern market and with a change of badge they look like old campers from the hippy 60's
  18. Hi , I ha dmy rear shocks changed a month ago as i had a knocking, clanking noise , turned out the seals had broke and they were shot so to speak I just got the car in june and it needed a lot of work as it had been thrashed by the prev owner I got a new set of BLISTEINS the mechanic I used picked them I leave all my work to him I let him choose the parts the makes etc cost me £742, Parts & labour < I know £2 !! but that was the price > not bad and i sure feel a difference now check em out there are some reviews online , hope you get sorted ;)
  19. thank you for the Welcome :) I cant wait to start to get info and Gen up about Scoobs :D
  20. Hi all I got my car a 2002 Subaru impreza 2ltr Gx NA with automatic transmission June 3rd from a dealer in Scotland . The Car I loved it the min I saw it on the advert online BUT IT TURNED OUT TO BE A KNIGHMARE the car had a presales report saying x, y & z had been done but it was lies the car was unroadworthy and dangerous it ended up at the garage I use on the 4 june the next day . It cost me a further £1500 jn parts and labour but worth it I love it to bits pity if the dealer I got her from was not honest I would still have bought it but at less than I paid . The car has under 60k VOSA verified milage and the body and iinterior trim is like new . I think I have found a car marque I will stick with having owned Vauxhalls senators cavaliers in my younger days and bmw 3 series a saab 93 convertible and a Jag s-type before my scoob I find the impreza a nice car and head turner . Even though mine is stock standard down to the radio ! . Only thing I have noticed is kids in their tarted up citreons and corsas wanting to race me !!! OMG LOL does anyone else get this . I will post pics up shortly . I know I only had this car a few months but if I could afford one I would get a hawk eye time to start saving
