Ive been searching pretty much everywhere for refill rubbers for my 2021 E-Boxer's wipers, have you had any luck? Bought pair of replacement blades Bosch A157s from ebay which are a direct replacement. Nearside is a bit shorter than the original, but they work fine. Looking for rubbers now to turn the originals into spares.

Glad it's not just me, looking to cover the switch and put the cover on a dangler by the door handle, . Other option is to let SHMBO poke me in the eye when I get out the car π€ Could also put a big note on the back seat, so when you follow the goodbye message to check the back seat.........................

Is anyone aware of a way of changing the "look in the back seat" message on the info screen when the engine is switched off? For instance I'd like it to say "check the sunshine roof is still open so close it before leaving the vehicle you dick head"

Sorry about my delay in replying. My fob:- press and hold the lock button then press the unlock button twice, the little red light on the fob blinks and thats it. As soon as you press the fob to open the car door it wakes up.

Hi Otto, when I got my Forester e-boxer this March I thought the same about the Sound system. So after a while of trying some of my past usual equaliser settings I let Google do a search on the problem. Soon found on other Subaru forums that I (like you now) thought the sound was crap. One or two suggested forgetting your usual settings and go for somethink like the attached, which now I find quite acceptable. I like all sorts of music from 60s 70s 80s 90s now and Club, all sound OK now. Hope that helps in some way.

Update on the one touch door handle all doors unlocking. I ended up getting a call back from my Dealer AND an email from Subaru. Result was I called in the dealership (Maple Leaf) yesterday and in 10 mins they had (through the diagnostics) made all the doors unlock (139 in the manual) and enabled the front windows to open on long press of the fob unlocking. Windows is handy when the sun has been on the car, but yet another dealer only adjustment (140 in the manual) So, at last all sorted! The internal Thatcham alarm keypad is only useful to switch off the internal sensors temporally (press 2 before leaving car) when nipping in for a bottle of wine and the dogs are in the back, and (press 7 before leaving car) makes all the doors lock after starting driving along.

My dealer principle is now on the case π€

So, after many weeks later I have never had a reply from the Subaru UK on line resolution form. Also never had a reply to my email sent to [email protected] which I took from their web site. There is no phone number to contact UK head office. Does any one think that Subaru UK read this forum and think "oh we had better address this problem" I do like driving the Forester I must admit, but if I hadn't spent much money getting the back sorted out to carry my dogs and paraphernalia I would be taking it back to the dealer for lack of support.

And I thought Chrysler had a problem not being able stop Wrangers leaking when it rained, hence why I gave up on them π Fingers crossed owners Toyota might step up....

No response from 3rd dealer π in fact no call back from any of them ffs. So now I've written to Subaru UK, mentioning them of course, and await their solution. Hopefully a software update can be uploaded over t'tinternet, from Subaru Land. Ah so.

I'm going to follow that up Pete, thanks for info, no reply from second dealer so I'll try a third. I hope they are interested in follow up service not just sales. Nice one setting up the security bits π

Called into a dealer today, the problem stumped them. Awaiting their discussions with Subaru UKHO now. They are experienced Subaru dealer and this anomaly seems to have caught them on the hop. I agree Pete it is a bit silly that that an hijacker creeping up on the nearside can still get in. However, having studied the manual further I discovered that the ever searching fob can be put to sleep easily to save its battery life, and it works OK. No need for a Faraday box in the kitchen. (The dealer didn't know about that until I showed him, in the good books for future service costs nowπ€£)

My Forester is the same, the manual page 139 says "dealer setting to change". I'm on 2nd dealer now to see how simple it is to sort. They have emailed Subaru tech department to ask the question as they didn't know about it ffs. I think every fob car I've had so far has this unlock choice in a driver menu. And what I've read online the previous builds of forester had it in the infoment menu. The American shopping drivers prefer cars not to be hijack susceptible and as Subaru is more popular over there the designers never bothered to consider the uk market wants it seems now. Hey ho.

Try this info. https://dashcameras.net/dash-cam-subaru-eyesight/ The fuse box is under the steering wheel. Lots of info on YouTube or Google I had this https://www.thinkware.com/Products/Dashcam/F800PRO installed by a mobile fitter, supplied and fitted for the cost of the camera on Amazon!! Only took him about 20mins Front camera fitted behind the rear view mirror, EyeSight works fine. Jim

I gather now that this is a dealer only adjusted setting Why I wonder??

Anyone managed to set up the Forester E-Boxer premium to show contacts images on the favourite screen?
-
I have had my Forester E-Boxer now since 1st March and so far so good. The dealer fitted a new battery prior to collection so there should not be any problem on the situation of fast draining of power. However, being used to either having ONLY the Drivers door opening on ONE CLICK or DOOR HANDLE TOUCH or ALL DOORS OPENING I cannot find anywhere in the settings or user manual to change the setting for this. It seems the default is only the drivers door opening unless one double clicks the fob. But with a hand full of stuff and the passenger door is approached it cannot be opened by touching the handle. Anyone else come across this and have managed to change the setting?? Cheers, Jim

Hi all, Newby here. Picking up my new E-Boxer 1st of March. Read this thread with a tad of concern naturally π€ Called the dealer and he confirmed me that his dealership is aware of the battery problem. He confirmed that Subaru are aware of the problem. The dealership, he assured me, have been automatically ordering a warranty replacement uprated battery for all new E's they sell. So mine will have it installed before I collect it. π€all will be well when I park it up. Jim
