  1. Nothing to be jealous of mate. All the Impreza's are a great car to drive, and that is what the cars are all about, and why I keep coming back.
  2. No engine internals are upgraded on the RB320 as basically it is the Subaru approved Prodrive kit fitted to the STI
  3. The parts fitted to the RB320 came to around £6K if bought separately, but Subaru only asked and extra £3K over the STI for the car. That and the fact they were a limited run made sure they sold out fast.
  4. Thats just the front grill kit that comes as standard on the RB320. I may be corrected here but I think that only 320 RB320's were made, which if correct makes it pretty rare.
  5. FMIC? Anyway the main differences between the STI and the RB320 are: Upgraded suspension, blistein (I think thats how you spell it) shocks, and 30mm lower springs on the rear and 10mm on the front. Limited rear differential. Prodrive Performance Pack (320BHP) Prodrive 18" wheels. Prodrive front splitter and grills Quick Shift Gear Change Linkage All RB320's are black as standard also.
  6. Thanks guys. I could do nothing but laugh as I put the foot down and remembered how good these cars are. I have got to say that although the ride is firmer, it is also a lot better dampened with the shocks fitted to the RB320, and rides over bumps a hell of a lot better. The STI's I had before were standard, so having the extra 40bhp really was noticable after a year away from the Subaru.
  7. I'll post some decent pics tomorrow during daylight hours.
  8. Finally it's here. Just back from picking it up so sorry about the poor pics. And the old car.
  9. I'm looking forward to putting the pictures up, so you lot don't think I'm pulling a fast 1 :)
  10. Woohoo looks like I might actually get my car this weekend at long last :)
  11. Your about 10 minutes from me then
  12. I'm now up towards Aberdeen with work in the last 6 months, but originally from south of Glasgow, towards the Scottish Borders. Must admit the roads are better back down the way.
  13. Pics of the car will be posted as soon as I get to pick the car up. I'll post a pic of my old car getting chopped in for it.
  14. Thanks for the welcome Jo.
  15. Lol. I'm sure the rears are already done, but I'll get the fronts slightly tinted to blend well with the rears. Luckily I have another runaround to stick the young 1 in and he can make as much mess as he likes in that. This car is for pleasure only (though not dogging ;))
  16. No probs. I'm used to getting stuff like this organised. I did something similar back in May for a tour of Scotland. I'll stuck something up in there once I actually have my car :)
  17. Nothing too fancy mate. Just a satnav double din and upgrades to the sound system. Brake pads and braided lines to better the brakes, and a set of RB320 mud flaps. I was also thinking of adding a slightly louder back box to the exhaust. Next year I'll probably get the seats sent away to get leather heated seats.
  18. Another weekend lost to work commitments. No car yet again and now getting a bit pi***d. Tell you what though it has given me time to think of a few bits that I want done to the car.
  19. I'm up towards Aberdeen. Once I eventually get my car (hopefully next weekend) I'll be up for a run out.
  20. Unfortunately I couldn't afford to run mine as a daily. 14k miles in the last 3 months is not what I plan on putting on the RB320. My first STI, I bought new and only used as a weekend car, the second 1 I used every day and put 25k miles on it before selling up. I decided when I sold the last 1, that if I could afford another it would only be used as a weekend car as I wanted to keep it for a good few years.
  21. I'm not the most patient guys at the best of times, but this is torture :(
  22. Never managed to pick up the car this weekend as work got in the way. All going well I should pick it up next weekend (here's hoping)
  23. I did look into it and the Redstuff pads are for road/fast road driving and the yellow are for fast road/trackday driving. So the Redstuff pads will hear up quicker and be more suited to my style of driving.
  24. Brakes are a must to be honest. It's 1 of the very few things that let the car down performance wise. Also at only say £100 for the front pads, it is a cheap way of improving the braking without breaking the bank.
  25. Thanks for all that info Miggs I'll have a look at those head units once I pick up the car. I just remembered that I have a rockford amp from my last STI, that I can also hook up to improve the sound system. (knew it was a good idea to stick it up the loft for a rainy day :)) Also I'll order up some EBC redstuff brake pads, and also braided brake lines over the weekend to improve the feel of the brakes.
