  1. Hi guys I'm looking at the size wheels above for the fozzy. I havent been able to come across another subaru on google that has this offset (I'm aware its aggressive!) Does anyone know anybody that has run this size wheel??? If so, is there any photo's about? problems?? The wheels I'm looking at are only available with an et23 offset otherwise i would choose something like an et38 and use spacers if required. I would fit 225/40R18's which would help arch clearance somewhat but I'm aware the rims would be sticking out of the arch. I will also have the arches rolled if necessary. I think it would give the fozzy a good aggressive stance and would be different but I'm concerned whether its worth the risk! I'm on coilovers (AST) which will make life easier. Also, Is there any suspension strut clearance issues with 9.5J's? it seems to be the width of choice for scooby's! Cheers for any help guys - sorry if this has been discussed before!!
  2. Hi guys thanks so much for replying! The guy who did the compression test suggested using a slightly thicker oil as it may still be getting past the rings. There's no leaks at all coming from the underside of the car and the engine bay is dry too. I thought it may be that the turbo has a hairline crack or something??? Although i had it on the dyno last month and it held 1.2bar as it should so I'm really not sure. Could the turbo be leaking but still holding good boost?? Thanks, sam.
  3. Hi guys my 06 Forester STi is using ALOT of oil - about 3 litres in 1500 miles. I decided to have the compression tested to see if I had any worn piston rings which would answer the oil consumption question. I've just got the results.... 115,114,113,117psi. The guy said these are the most consistent results he's seen in a long while but I'm not sure if these are correct or by some coincedense these are all equally low...anyone got any idea as what these are supposed to be for an import?? Or any ideas as to where all my oil is going! Cheers guys
  4. Ok so guys I decided to go for the cheap eBay job. Thought I'd give my opinion for anyone who might be considering going down this route.... The material wasn't what I was expecting; I thought it would be similar to a wiper blade gasket like material but it's basically a spongy foam material. Looks like it will rip easily and flex easily due to air resistance. I'm not expecting it to last long... I took a snap this morning - excuse the fact that I haven't got round to cleaning the car! I payed around £25 from eBay.
  5. http://j-w-racing.co.uk/product.php/4896/0/blacktop_aero_carbon_fibre_front_lip_spoiler_type_v_for_07_08_forester_sport_bumper £486!! :O
  6. This is quite smart but again I don't know where I'd get hold of one :/ http://www.autogespot.co.uk/subaru-forester-sti/2012/02/16
  7. Thanks guys! the budget option does seem a very straightforward solution although I doubt you'd be able to spray it? I've just come across this which looks like it would fit but it's so !Removed! expensive! http://j-w-racing.co.uk/shopimages/products/normal/fl0809sbfs-v-cf-3.jpg I'll carry on looking and might make some calls...
  8. I'm basically after this! http://news.hspn.com/articles/139/1/STi-Announces-Forester-Front-Lip-Spoiler-Sale/Page1.html
  9. Hi guys, I'm after a front lip spoiler for my 06 forester sti. I've seen quite a few on google images and think they subtly lmprove the looks of the front end, providing they're sprayed the same colour. I'm finding it quite hard to find somewhere to buy one though! Anyone have one or know someone/somewhere best to get one? Thanks!
