  1. I would expect better spec, more modern and higher comfort levels. I have a 2018 and i miss having heated steering wheel and 12V socket in the boot, both of which I think the MY20 has. I think more trim level were introduced with touring being the top spec
  2. Here she is! I have arches and door protectors to go on so watch this space!
  3. I was in the same position as you. I would take a view on the individual car you find. I bough a 2018 with high miles but it had full main dealer service history, newish tyres and good MOT history. The dealer I bought from serviced it, put it through MOT and then replaced anything that came up as an advisory. They also took it to main dealer who serviced the gearbox (which I paid for). The car is super smooth and did 41 mpg using cruise on the 100 mile drive back. You'll also get a warranty if you buy from dealer so theres a small safety net too.
  4. Will upload when its here. Bought a load of accessories from Subaru yesterday so that will be a day of fitting at some point. 😃 I could also do with a 12V socket in the boot. Does anyone know is theres a permanent live or something to tap off in the back please?
  5. Bought it! I was surprised at how nippy it was! Bought from a dealer who is servicing it and its going to subaru for a gearbox service. So i'm in the club! Will be adding some arches and protection ready for London carparks!
  6. Thanks...looking at a petrol this week so will update
  7. That was all in the back of my mind. I just put a deposit down on a petrol so will go and have a look and see if it feel right.
  8. Looking though all the old posts on the site, i'm actually now leaning towards an 18-19 petrol :)
  9. I'm currently looking for a 5th Gen diesel, BUT... After watching all the youtube Outback reviews in the world, many of them said the 5th gen petrol was underpowered so I kind of dismissed it. With work I sometimes have to drive hundreds of miles and then into a field or down tracks with a loaded up boot and passengers BUT as i'm finding it difficult to find a suitable diesel, I'd love to hear from petrol owners if theres a noticeable lack of power going up inclines with loaded cars. I'm also considering A/T tyres and even a lift (1.5-2in) but with less torque in the petrol, I'm thinking a lift might be wasted? I'm coming out of a BMW 540i G31 which had all the power, space and comfort but it was set up for speed. I don't expect the Outback to be the same but i'd like it to be 'capable'. I mostly got low to mid 30's loaded and in eco during spring/summer, I could get 42-44 with normal luggage in the back! How does that compare? Has anyone set their cars up to be a little more 'off-road'? Thanks
  10. Hi all...I'm in the market for a diesel outback please! Must have a good service history and be an auto. Any colour except white. Currently living on autotrader, pistonheads, ebay, carzoo, carguru and gumtree so know the market well at the moment lol Please let me know if you're thinking of selling or see something on your travels! Thank you!
