  1. Would Defo b interested to hear if it has them or not. What else have u done or have stayed pretty much with the type r stuff?
  2. Thanks for the help. Agreed on the original manifold I do think it's going to b easier in the long run. I had lined Carl Davy up for the adapter plates but was told he'd stopped doing that sort of stuff now so spoke to a firm called delta engineering opposite from were I work he had a look and said it wasn't a problem to sort so think I'll take him up on it. Decided on the 2.5 because of the low down torque over the 2ltr. Compensates big time for the big turbo lag of a 20g.
  3. I've got a six speed lined up hopefully of a friend who's breaking a hawk . It's the first thing I tried to sort. There very few an far between.
  4. Hi guys, as the knowledgeable bunch u are wondered what your thoughts and advice would b on the project build I'm doing. Have got to he stage where I need to order my turbo and decide which way to go with the manifold. Quick rundown on what I have first. It's a 2.5 short motor forged internals V5 STI Heads 14mm studs all new and put together. It's going in a V4 classic so not sure on whether to go down the adapter plate route or convert to a V5 manifold and what that would entail. Next is the turbo. Going to go for either a TD05 20g or TD06 20g. Which do you think would b the better option? Or if anybody thinks there might b something better, say a twin scroll conversion. Thanks and look forward to hearing from u.
  5. There was 200 in total made. Had a look on that how many left site an there's 128 left. Really appreciate all the input guys, new it was the right site to join.
  6. That sounds about the best theory so far. Was just worried at first, thought it might have been a copy but don't think anyone would go to that much trouble to copy a model that wasn't that special. Have got the original invoice also and that says catalunya 203 on it. Would just be nice to be able to explain it when some anal Impreza expert says that's no.203 and they only made 200. Ha!Ha.
  7. Thanks Matt, any help would be appreciated.
  8. Hi guys, wondered if it was possible somebody knew why my 98 catalunya is badged as no. 203 when there was only 200 made? This is a quick history of the car. It is a totally original no paint no mods car with one owner from new. Only 71k with full history all the books and keys an straight as they come. Tried to do bit of research but the only thing I can find is they didn't badge no.13. So that should make it up to 201 to make up for 13. Any thoughts?
