Thanks for the reply :) its got the yellow injectors In it.. all id have to do is get a wrx engine and put my auxiliaries/inlet amd that onto it? whats the difference between the sti and wrx engine? Im on a really tight budget and need to get this car on the road

Yes its an early classic 1992.. I want to fit a new engine into it, which one do I need? Wrx or sti? and another thing I spoke to scoobyclinic and they told me if I change the head gasket ill have to rebuild the bottom end because 80% of the time after the gasket chance the bottom end knocks itself out?? I got quoted £2500+vat (engine reabuild) which is a bit steep to me

Here's a a picture of my vin plate and it says the engine is menna be a wrx .. I found the code EJ20BUB aint this a RS? Apparently the engine has been changed and im trying to figure out what it is.

Im told one of the previous owners swapes the engines. .. were on the engine will I see a code?

Got new plugs and that solved the problem .... Unfortunately couple of hours after the engine blew, no compression in all cylinders. Can someone please tell me what engine I need to get? Dno if it's a wrx or a sti how do I check thanks

Yea mate it does. . I even disconnected the maf sensor and the code came up

The missfire only happenes after 5k revs when im boosting

I rang up scoobyclinic today and they told me its likely to be the coils and plugs.. can anyone tell me the cheapest place I can find them and which plugs.. many thanks

Just did the check on my car and no codes came up.. I disconnected the maf and no 23 came up so its working.. any ideas? When its idling I hear a clicking noise like a relay n the revs go to 2k...

When I do this do I just conect the 2 wires together. . Turn the ignition on and count the flashes? Do I have to start up the car?

Ill make a video tomorrow and show you mate.. took it out again tonight and I don't think its a boosting problem. Needle stayes on 0.8 bar even when its really sluggish. . When I prush the acceleraer slowly it doesn't missfire only when aggressively.

Iv just spoken to a mechanic and he said my actuator could be the problem. Its a bit bent and loose whats your opinios? Thanks

I forgot to mention my starter motor struggles to turn over too.. is this problem related to it?
