a/c remove or not ??
On my classic uk turbo i have a/c (needs gassing if i wanna keep) but doubt i will ever bother using as in the sort of bloke who has to drive with my window down. Is it worth the effort to remove the pump ? For weight and just not having it sitting there for no good reason ?

I currently have some no make cone filter on my 97 turbo and would like to hear peoples opinions on wether to replace with a decent make cone filter or get a standard airbox and decent panel filter ? It has full turbo back exaust if that makes any difference ..... Cheers

Id say maf mate ive got a 97 turbo and i had same issues sometimes would also cut out at lights. Replaced it today and its worked wonders ! Idle and throttle response is spot on. I am the sort of person that would rather replace then try clean but that's just me. Mine set me back £120 delivered

98 turbo ecu options
Yeah ive heard they are good.on other sites people are saying the best thing I could do is get an apexi power fc as they have some cool features also like built in boost control etc.. Also like you say i want the option of further mods in the future as i also want to upgrade the turbo in the future to either a td04 hybrid or a td05

98 turbo ecu options
Anybody in the same position as me ? My 98 Impreza turbo ecu is apparently not mappable. Its an 8s and ive heard the only choices are an esl daughterboard or a complete standalone replacement

Yeah looking on Andy forrests site he reccomends an apexi over alcatek as it has built in boost control and few other tasty extras lol

Yes i hear this year model isn't mappable unless you have an esl daughterboard installed ?? I am planning on getting either an apexi power fc or alcatek standalone asap

Hi to all names josh and in 23. recently bought my first Scooby, a 1998 Impreza turbo. I am looking for local owners in my area ( Walsall, west mids ) if you are local drop ne a message ! Loving the motor has few mods including full decat turbo back exaust, induction kit, hks turbo timer, forge bov was told when i bought the car it was remapped and i had done some google'ing and it still has the standard 8s ecu and i am led to belive this ecu is not mappable. Anyway i could go on and on think ill leave it at that lol.
