New knock sensor come today. Out at the moment but will be putting it on tonight. Dark or not lol

I cleaned icv definitely idols better. Again still feels as tho she holding bk. I gave her some s@#t boosted fine. I do get engine light intermittently comes up knock sensor ordering one Friday would that affect it..

I would have taken idle valve off but aint got a new gasket.:(

I'm try momentum at the moment done ecu reset yesterday afternoon when I got back. Will do it again. . No mate haven't done it yet.

Right had new exedy clutch and ngk platinum plugs fitted yesterday and passed mot.. anyway since the clutch started to slip it felt like she is holding back still spools up fine holds boost. So when i had clutch and plugs done yesterday thought it would sort it.. no is the answer. . I was just wondering where to start and what to check..

Yeah wasn't happy just glad I can drive her just a shame the clutch is slipping. But it's getting done on the 12 September be a nice drive on the way back from Birmingham

Sorry for the late reply here goes. The issues I had with my scoobie. The lad I bought it off had put new cambelt on didn't time it so was all out. Oil leak well the oil pump was in bit's more or less. So since I bought the car in April she's had a new sstarter motor cambelt kit with ttensioners water pump and oil pump. Getting clutch done 12 September. And mot .. then after that oil and plugs.. so she is getting there slowly

The clicking is the boost solenoid and the fan's coming on.. is just a test ....

That's exactly the same as mine.. the gasket are a couple of quid aint they...

Would it be worth taking the icv off and give it a clean. Also is it located on the right hand side. As you are standing in front of the car..

well ive managed to have a look it did stool also i had battery disconected last half hr or so.. right. so i started car was still running for 20 sec ish then stooled. plugged bk in revs still low on idol so i thought id take her up the road had one little hessitant struggle and of she went nice and smooth. but when i dipped the clutch revs dropped to nearlly 0 (didnt stool). i will leave as she is for now as im having t/belt w/pump oil/pump etc change very soon. so will need to build funds bk up, do you think i should still change it

thanks wrxweston i havent managed to do anything today just got home now do you have a link to website etc to where you bought your sensor from...i will still give it a clean but will invest in a new one anyway...:)

Would it be worth buying a cleaner and try cleaning in. I know they are fragile and you need to be careful But worth a shot for a few quid surly . what do you think

I ain't getting any smoke.. I'll unplug sensor dis connect the battery. See what happens if anything, then I'll go from there. Thanks for your help. I will let you know how I get on :)

They not very reliable then lol. Well hopefully it is then nice and simple job. What sort of price they go for :)

I have a 96 impreza wrx turbo I haven't driven it for a week. Went to take my mate out in it and was very hesitant Rev's would drop to nearly 0rpm when clutch dipped. Seemed like it was starving herself of air then suddenly pick up. Just had new start is going in for cambelt etc change in the next week or so.. any idea's guy's :)
