Sounds good - looking forward to having mine done soon - the garage is currently working on a map for it after many customer requests apparently. Glad to hear it makes a big difference. I did fit a cold air induction kit to it last week and that has helped the low down power massively with less lag and a lovely sound from the stock BOV now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

picking up 2014/2015 wrx sti next week... anyone started modding these ?
Thanks, they are Matt Silver 19 inch Japan Racing JR3 with 245/35-R19 Hankook Ventus Evo2 tyres. 12mm spacers give it a more aggressive stance too so I'm really pleased with the look now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I love the sounds of that invidia system - seen lots of you tube clips of a white one revving. Would love that exhaust on mine! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just put a set of 19's on her too which look really good with Eibach spacers to give it an aggression stance. Aero body kit added too and some engine dress up parts. Pioneer Apple car play stereo inside so getting their with the mods :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've got the subaru upgraded back boxes and cat back section too all fitted by the dealer so no warranty issue and this adds a nice deep burble and a few extra bhp hopefully - still fairly refined compared to after market exhausts but I like the way it sounds and a Kn panel filter helps slightly too. The cat back section was actually supplied in error by Subaru as mine was one of the first cars in the country (it's a 15 model on a 14 plate) so you can only get the back boxes now from subaru. I will have it mapped to 340 hp as soon as subaru release an official map though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Brakes on my sti
No they were quite strict on how cameras have to be secured so made me take off my little dash cam. I'll know for next time and get some footage. There's a short video on you tube of me flying past a Mazda on the main straight Hope that link works :-) it was damp for the first few laps and I was quicker than all the bmw's and I even passed a 911 which made me smile. Brakes on my sti
My new shape 14 plate STi had covered 8,000 miles now and although I did notice a slight scraping noise when braking that has stopped now. It sounded like the pads were low but I didn't get it checked as I knew they weren't. Just did a brands hatch track day and the brakes were awesome with no fade at all. They don't make any noise now so hopefully yours just need to bed in a bit more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks mate, no it's the standard ride height but the tail pipes are bigger than standard and the wheels, exhaust surrounds and HT Autos bottom line body kit all make it look a bit more aggressive. I've fitted the rest of the kit now too which looks pretty good. I'll add some pics to the album.

Hi from Middlesex!
Forgot to say, mine was from Monza Sports Tuning in West Sussex - I've had three Alfas and this Scooby from them and they are brilliant - great on every level with first class service. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi from Middlesex!
Hi, congrats on the new car - sorry to hear about the bad first impressions of the dealer - I'm sure the car will make up for it. I've had my 2015 model STI since October last year and it's covered 6,000 miles now and still loosening up. Feels quicker every time I get a chance to use the power and it's been great in the bad weather. Hope you enjoy the car [emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks, it took a while to develop the nice burble but now it's run in it does sound nice and turns heads as you cruise along! You're right about the power upgrades, they all seem to be in the US - amazing as the fuel they use is 87-93 octane! Hopefully more options will come up in the UK this year as the car becomes more popular. It's definitely not short of power but with 40 extra BHP it will be a real super car beater in the wet and on twisty roads. I followed a C63 AMG on a wet twisty A24 the other day and he couldn't pull away even on the straights despite an extra 180 BHP. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I love the car - it's my first Scooby and I love everything about it. Can't believe the wet weather grip and I never get bored of the acceleration and sound. The interior is great too despite what the magazines say - quality is brilliant! Can't wait to do a few track days next year to properly test the car! Your car looks really nice - love them in white. My original order was white but I beat the long wait by taking a black one. White for the next one in a few years maybe :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes it's the official subaru optional extra but it only specifies 'sports Rear silencer kit' in the options brochure. The dealer thinks they supplied a non UK kit by mistake - they reckon Subaru UK called them and said they had accidentally supplied 2 units in the UK and one was mine. I'm not sure what the centre pipe bit is but it's definitely removed the small rear cat. It's not aftermarket loud, just has a deeper bassy rumble so it's ideal for me. I'll contact my dealer for a bit more info though as I only found out over Christmas and haven't followed it up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bit of a strange one this - I added the back boxes option when I ordered the car but when I picked it up the dealer said it was a cat back system and gave me the old back boxes and centre section (with small second cat ). The dealer has since contacted me saying they think I should have only had the back boxes but if that's true it's Subarus mistake and I'm not going to argue asI like the system so maybe I got lucky. All the parts turned up with the car so they just fitted the lot! Will check out that remap though, thanks mate :-)

New sti
I use V-power with the occasional tank of Tesco momentum 99 - my old V6 Alfa used to love it but I know V-power is better for keeping the engine clean. Worth the premium for performance and I get 34 mpg from the STi on a steady motorway run. Amazed by how good the fuel consumption is for the power - beats my mates 535d for pace and economy!!
