  1. Hopefully will be more vids this year. ABS removed but master cylinder is not pre 94 - intend to run split front/rear with an adjustable bias valve. Unless the 94 cylinder is a better route. Must get fettling
  2. Thanks for the pics - very useful - I have the engine out on mine at the moment, doing heads, removing abs and tidying engine bay. Have marked your photo with the pipes I want to remove. Yours looks very clean! Much appreciated. I know the later Imprezas had a dampening valve in the system and our 2003 WRX has different set up too. GC8 is used for track and sprints so not a daily driver.

  5. May be obvious, but not to me;-) Doing a tidy of engine bay on sprint car while engine is out. Want to tidy clutch lines and wondered why there is sooo much hard line between master cylinder and flexi pipe, goes backwards and forwards a few times. Is there a dampener in there? Seems to be a bleed screw too. Ideally want to remove to declutter and a save a little weight too. ABS coming out too by the way. Car is 1998 WRX. Cheers Tim
  6. Hi there - GC8 engine, remapped with alkatec, running 1.5 boost, TD05, 550 injectors, FMIC, decat at 340bhp. Now running higher boost getting coolant being pushed into overflow tank and overboard when giving it some stick. Does not overheat (has in pipe sensor as well as basic gauge). No heater of course as it is a sprint car. Have checked for air block and have filled correctly. Before it all comes out, just checking I am not missing anything. Stant rad cap seems fine and pipes do feel pretty darn pressurised. Cheers and Happy New Year.
  7. Thanks for all the help - injectors are in and turbo too. Trying to tidy engine now and attempting to get me head around catch can and removing charcoal filter too. Seen some good links here about catch can but to be honest ruddy confused now! I will continue to search but any hints gratefully received. Just finished wrapping and adding ABW arches - will get some pics uploaded.
  8. Thanks again - interesting. Engine is pretty standard so no baffled sump - want to get rid of the closed circuit breather system and use catch can - need to be scrutineer friendly! Considering we are quite well down on power against cars in same class (at least 150bhp) we have managed quite good results (son driving ).   9. Thanks Savage for the very useful info, now we have a better idea - shame you sold the injectors :/ - will have a look around. Car has GEMs ecu and made 270bhp on dyno last week. Car is stripped out so it's fairly light - just runs out of steam at top end at the mo. Will sell the top feed 550's probably.

  13. Hi there - have a modified classic WRX which we are about to change turbo ready for remap to increase bhp - looking for 350bhp max to avoid lunching the gearbox . I have some 550 top feed injectors from a Hawk, but would need top feed conversion to fit - which one is best? - or do we find some side feed 550's? Have seen some from the USA. Any ideas?
