Hi guys I have a 2006 Hawkeye, its got the Cat 1 alarm, with the keypad immobilizer near the fuse box I want to upgrade the alarm probably to a Cliford Alarm with the iphone features Which type of alarm do I need to buy, as it has sensors already on the driver, passenger doors, there are many options and its slightly confusing. I want a remote start feature, are there any particular models best suited to my car ? Sorry for the stupid questions, rather new to this

Oh i see now i will have a look tonight to see if they are vented wow that's very expensive I was thinking of just changing the disc, I was thinking of a much cheaper option like one of these below : http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=37_293&osCsid=tvb0qpa29cq7pc1dimatio9tj4 -
Thanks for all the help guys ! its now fitted and sweet !

I dont have a piggy back tap fuse tap, if i buy one can it go into any spare fuse ? would the black just go onto any screw thats earthed ?
-
I know this has probably been asked a million times I want to hard wire my road angel It came with a hard wire kit, that i assume you attach to the cigarette lighter ? I dont see a problem unless i want to use the cigarette lighter to power something else then would it not be able to power both devices ? Or do i attach it to the fusebox ?
-
yeah i found out yesterday ! offered me april ! so they squeezed me in but can only do clutch
-
I was under the impression that the standard 06 hawkeye came with vented disc brakes as standard ? Looks like i have standard disc brakes, if i wanted to change these what ones should i go for ? i also want to change the brakes themselves are these ok or should i swap them for upgraded versions ? I want to know if i do swap them do i need to change my wheels ( i know the upgraded ones are wider ) )

I also want a boost unsure of oil temp or pressure ? I saw this one here: http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=68&products_id=1767 Are there any better priced than that ? Whats a good one to go for ? -
I had this dump valve fitted to my Haweye Wrx http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Perrin-PSP-INT-600BK-Recirculating-Blow-Off-Valve-Black i asked for the loud type and was told this could vent both ways Recirculating or Vent to Atmosphere I have had the car remapped Does that mean that i can just take off the Recirculating pipe, bung it up and that will be fine ? Or are there complications ?

I spoke to Viper they said they can provide me with all the different ones and i can make the kit myself Going to get my clutch changed at Scoobyworld they do the set for £120 anx water might have that done I got a quote for that, inside the engine bay was cheep but relocated inner wing was just too much £££ i was told by the guy not to do it, its not worth it in London
-
Thanks for the advice guys I found that scooby world in Leicestershire does a supply and fit pink organic stage 1 box with flywheel for £660 you cant beat that price ! so this Friday i will drive up and have the clutch and cambelt done I was also advised to change the clutch as i could damage my car further if AA do a recovery and repair job
-
My clutch is very hard see my post on it I live in London but the price from scooby world cant be beaten ! Local to me is ExtreemScooby a 30 minute drive but they are asking for £860 including flywheel Scooby word is £660 with new skimmed flywheel £200 supply and fit cambelt and a full service at £400 means i can can do a complete clutch, service, cambelt at £1260 thats worth me travelling up there !

I have a Hawkeye 2006 @ 87.000 miles When i bought the car i did all the recommended clutch tests in the "buying a Subaru thread" Although i am happy with the clutch i feel its a bit hard to press down (my knees started to hurt), also i can smell a burning smell (smells like the clutch) whenever i don’t get the clutch spot on in either first gear or second gear but there is no clutch slip. I feel like its going to fail soon, i had a similar experience on my last car and it did fail. So either i replace it or let it fail and rely on the AA (see below), i am confused by all the options and different prices for what i think is the same product. Kit 1: WRX 2.5 Exedy Pink Box Stage 1 Organic Clutch Kit – Impreza 2005-2012 WRX 2.5l 5 Speed Models FK04H911 £329.99 inc VAT http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=210&products_id=3484 Kit 2: http://shop.grahamgoode.com/subaru-impreza-turbo-wrx-05-clutch-kit-push-type-exedy-stage-1-organic-uprated-ggs3998-72438-p.asp Kit 3: Then these guys have the same clutch at double the price and no fitting/ no fly wheel http://www.just-subaru.com/engine-hawk-eye-79636-0.html Questions: Do i need to change the flywheel/ get it skimmed ? Can someone explain the huge price differences please? I know i read somewhere that the clutch on these models should be changed at around 85000 miles is that correct ? I am with the AA and i have the Parts and Garage cover, which basically covers me for £500 worth of parts and repairs, they state that wear and tear is not covered. Specifically under the clutch section it states that worn out friction surfaces are not covered. If my clutch were to fail what would be the reason? Should i wait and rely on the AA or should i just take the bullet and replace the clutch I live in London so anywhere close by or within reasonable distance would be good for me. Thanks in advanced.
-
Wow thats Expensive £372.00 for pipes ! The chinese sets come to half that The question is if i am willing to take that risk ? Thats a much more reasonable price but they dont do sets for Hawkeyes Is it worth geting an iduction kit ? I live in london, very traffic start stop will the induction kit will make my car drive fuzzy ? I have a stanard air filter with K&N green , the guys at the scooby clinic said to keep it as its not needed unless i go over 350bhp
-
So that means i miss out on the vehicle tax ? I only paid what i paid for the car because i was told that the car came with a years tax ! So how do i buy tax i had a look at the DVLA website and cant find a link

Hi all I had my car remapped at the scooby clinic, I now want to make my engine look cooler but not spend a small fortune I was thinking about installing a strut bar set : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-ALLOY-STRUT-BRACE-BAR-FRONT-AND-REAR-01-07-STI-WRX-Z0161-63-/261455532395?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cdff6d16b and changing the pipes to coloured silicone ones like this set: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-GDA-NEW-AGE-WRX-STI-SILICONE-ENGINE-WATER-RADIATOR-HOSE-KIT-/221032267140?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item33768cbd84 Does any of these changes affect the remapping of the car ? Is there any other cost affective ways of dressing the engine bay of the car ? I have a 2006 Hawk eye 2.5 turbo Thanks

Thanks for the help everyone ! I bought the Blue WRX 2.5 Hawk Officially a member now :)

Thanks i called them and told them that my old car was sold and that i would need to wait 14 days before getting insurance, they were cool with it, they said they would start the policy today, and give me 14 days to send in the no claims bonus cert. The dealer states that's its been taxed till Jan 2016, i found out that he took the car in a part exchange so the previous owner said that he put a years worth of tax on it.

I want it so I can drive the car back after I have bought it and brought it to the clinic My policy runs out on the 23rd of this month. My fully comp insurance covers me as long as I don't own the car, but now that I have purchased it i want to drive it
