  1. Yeah I spoke to him after and you could tell he was gunning it with his mate in the car. It was so slippy, my !Removed! end came out on the last corner before the straight at low speed. When they finally let us back out a 240z and an ego spun out. It was nice going past the Evo facing the wrong way hahaha
  2. I think it's the same cost as Silverstone. About £30-£35. Yeah I was on the first session and got red flagged because someone crashed. Only did about 3 laps in total.
  3. Yes, it looks like a good circuit as well. If I go I'm booking track time
  4. Just so everyone knows this is called Japfest Rock now. Hoping to make it to this one but will let you know
  5. Had a great day. Unfortunately only managed to get 3 laps in on the track because a 350z binned it on the pit straight so got red flagged. But the car felt amazing just a shame I didn't get more time. Oh well there's always next time.
  6. nah nothing yet
  7. I'm gonna be heading from Derby with a friend in a 350z so if anyone wants to convoy you're welcome to.
  8. Yeah I've got track time.
  9. Hi, There may already be a post about this (if so please direct?) but can anyone give me any info as to the fitting of a chargespeed body kit for a hawkeye? Is it just bolt on or do I need to take it to a body shop? Thanks
  10. Yeah I'll second what Ghost has said. The smaller garages that are grateful for the work will not turn you away. Maybe if you let them do an oil and filter change to sweeten the deal that may help.
  11. Hi! The best and cheapest way is to ask around and see if you can get someone to *accidentally*(cough ) ignore the CO on the emissions test. If you've brought the car with it already having been decat the chances are likely that it has been remapped. If this is the case, it may run really bad with the cat fitted or not at all so you would need to get it remapped again. Personally I know someone that can put it through for me and I'm sure if you ask the good people of SOC nicely they may be able to recommend someone in or around your area. Failing that I think you will be paying a lot of money. You might also get lucky and be able to run a cat on the car at idle. If you do that you will just need to buy a cat (second hand I would advise) and cost for fitting and taking back off.
  12. I agreed with Jimmy. I've got BC's on mine. I drive my car everyday to work. Whilst they are a little bit harsh, it is racing suspension and you can definitely see this from the performance and handling. I've also had all the bushes changed to whiteline bushes so would recommend this also. Not took her on a track yet but will be going around Silverstone on 24th April for Japfest. 13. Amazing! I'll get them ordered!!
  14. Awesome! Cheers buddy! :D
  15. Hi Guys, Just a quick one! I'm wanting to change the colour of my centre console lights to red on my 07 STI. Was just wondering if anyone knew what the bulbs/LED's I need (T5's??) and if there is anything weird I should look out for? It looks simple enough to remove but just want to double check. Thanks :D
  16. All paid mate! :D
  17. Sorry missed that! Thanks mate!
  18. I'll be there guys. Would be good to get a stand going. They are doing it a bit different this year so I should be easier for the organiser to sort. People pay through the site themselves so no need to buy a load of tickets. :) I'm going to get track time as well hopefully. See below. New Booking System for ClubsAll club bookings are done on our website here. We have changed the way that club bookings work this year, meaning that individual club members are able to book tickets and vehicle passes for their club stand. The club secretary will be emailed your exclusive club password that you will need to make your booking. Once you receive this password, follow the instructions below. If you’re a new club give us a call to set up an account on 01959 541444 Click here to book your club tickets Next, select your club from the menu and enter the club's personal password Proceed to select your required tickets and place order Once booked, you will receive a confirmation email as proof of payment Club booking deadline: Friday 18th March 2016
  19. Thanks guys! I have a 10" sub in the boot with a built in amp, i'm just looking to get rid of the crackling from the speakers. I think I will try some cheap(ish) speakers in the front and see how it goes.
  20. Hi, Can anyone recommend some decent speaks for the front doors. Nothing crazy, it just the stock ones I found are pretty bad haha. I already has a new head unit. I found these but I dunno if they are any good?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Impreza-JVC-13cm-500Watts-2-Way-Front-Door-Car-Speakers-Sound-Deadening-/301150338388?hash=item461df57d54 Thanks
  21. Hi guys! Just wanted to introduce myself. My name I Jason aka BLITZ. I live in Derby and I've just brought my first scooby, a 2006 Hawkeye UK STI. I've wanted a scoop for ages but due to work reasons and running cost it was a bit out of my price range. Anyway, all good now so I picked her up on Friday and she is a beast! Hopefully will meet up with you guys at meets and shows in the future.
  22. Hi guys! So just to let you know I brought the car and I will get some pics up very soon!
  23. Hi Marty, Thanks for the help. I agree with the spoiler, but it comes with the original which is a bonus.
  24. Hi Guys, My name is Jason and I just thought I would introduce myself to the forum as I'm about to purchase my first Scooby. I've wanted one for a few years and now due to change of job (not traveling to work) I'm able to get one. So I've been looking for about 3 weeks now and I've found one that I really like. I'm going to view this tomorrow and all being well drive it home. I have done my own research but I would love to know peoples opinion of things to look out for when buying. The car is here ---> http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/subaru/impreza-sti/subaru-impreza-2-5-wrx-sti-type-uk--370bhp--over-10k-spent-one-of-a-kind/4513906 So what I'm seeking advise about is... The power. As nice as 370bhp sounds I'm just wondering is this realistic from just a remap and a few mods? The seller does have the dyno print outs and of course I will check these before buying. Also is there anything else I should look out for? As you can image I'm very excited so I don't want to be blinded by anything. Thanks to everyone in advance for any help.
