Turns out to be a metal pipe between cylinders split and part has to come from Subaru Uk so going to be in Bath abit longer 🙄

Mines back on the road! Replacement AC pump now fitted. Giving it a run to Bath before next weekend Japshow make sure all’s good.

What year model etc is the car. Not overly familiar with interchangeable ecu’s. Certainly doing a search for the code on yours a18-000 d4j doesn’t bring up anything available.
