  1. My Subaru Outback AWD. >>
  2. JimmyMac, The lever cable has been disconnected on the high and low; just needs the pin replacing. My Brother had it disconnected because he kept pulling it instead of the handbrake lever. A simple job to replace the pin just on top of the gear box housing. I spoke to the fitter that looked after the car. Try to post some photos of the car >>
  3. Thanks for the link Gambit, Looks like a few are going to the meet; all Imprenza owners I think? I haven't insured the Outback yet. But maybe I'll turn up to the next meet? Regards Moss.
  4. Thanks James, I was a little reluctant to pull the lever back too far.. I'll try it tomorrow. I'll also take some photos of the Outback AWD. Regards Moss
  5. Thanks for the welcome Sam, I'll take some photos over next weekend and post them. The car is in excellent condition with 57000 miles done on the clock; the car belonged to my Brother - Sadly he passed away 5, weeks ago. I don't know much about the Outback AWD 2.5 petrol engine. I've put a question on the Outback Club Forum. Regards Moss
  6. Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum; and I have a question about the High & Low Ratios on the Subaru Outback AWD UK Model 2.5 petrol engine. What is the correct procedure for changing the High & Low Ratios? On the dashboard clock to the top left of speedo is a small orange coloured LO when the ignition is turned on; the high-low lever is forward (down) towards the dash .. I've tried when the vehicle is stationary ; and engine running; and clutch pedal depressed all the way to the floor, bringing the lever bak up in to the High position; but there was no change to the orange coloured LO on the top left of speedo. Should that wee LO change to HI or similar? or am I not using the lever correctly; or maybe it's not working? Help and advise appreciated Regards Moss
  7. Hi Everyone. Just signed up to the Subaru Forum. Nice to be here; as I've just acquired a 2002 Subaru Outback AWD I'll probably have lots of (idiotic) questions, so please be patient with me. I'm 67 years young and enjoy most sporting pastimes .. Swimming - Running - Cycling; fly fishing and Dancing. I'm not good at any of them; but enjoy trying. I'm retired from work; well - paid employment anyway; although there's always something wants doing. Anyhow, I'm pleased to have found this community forum for Subaru vehicles. Regards Moss
