Thanks Gambit, I think your correct; I may have to loosen the plugs holding the grill and bumper to get the clip back in..
-
Morning Gambit, I've tried pulling it out just enough so the clip attached to the upper part would drop back in to place; but they're so tight ! I'm afraid of doing some damage, and as you can see the car is in very nice condition. Must be some body-workshop lads on this forum who can point me in the right direction to put the clip back? It's only a very small amount of gap, but I'm fussy about everything being just right.
-
Hi Guys, Any Body Workshop People on here? I need some help for a small replacement of clip between Front Bumper and Wheel arch? Here's a photo to show the small problem of a small gap between front wheel-arch and bumper.. Anyone know how to press this clip back in to place without doing any damage? Help appreciated..

Hi Gary, Not sure if this will help; here's a link to tow-bar wiring : towbar electrics

May be worth getting the rest done at the same time as the belt; i'll need to enquire about the total cost.
-
Thanks Linx, I'll give them a phone call..

Hi Geoff & Mr B I believe it was a quote for belt and tensioners, £269.43. What would a full kit consist of??
-
Subaru Dealer Abergavenny - £269 . 45. Not bad.. I'll get it done after Christmas.
-
Subaru Dealer Abergavenny quoted me £269 . 45 for parts fitting and vat included.. Sounds good to me. Subaru 4U quoted £400.00 I'll get it done after Christmas..

Gentlemen of Wales, The Mumbles meet up sounded wonderful; I'll definitely turn up to one of your meets.. But, now I have a request to make for some information? I need to get the Cam Belt replaced on my : 2002 - 2.5 engine Subaru Outback AWD; it's done 57,000 miles. I'm looking for a Subaru Independent Specialist to change the Cam-Belt, cannot afford to have a main dealer do the job. Can anyone point me in the direction of an Independent Subaru Specialist along the A465 in South Wales ?? Help Appreciated M

Hi All, I need to have the cam belt changed on my 2002, - 2.5 engine Subaru Outback AWD it's done 57,000 miles. Dealer prices for cam belt change are ridiculous - so, hope someone knows of an Independent Subaru Specialist in My area.. South Wales valley's Somewhere along the A465 Head of the Valley's road. HELP Appreciated M

Thanks Greenmamba, 2002 - 2.5 engine runs nicely; but the car has done 57,000 miles over the last 13, years of it's life, the Subaru Outback AWD belonged to my brother; I'm not sure he had the cam belt changed? probably not. How important is it to get it changed? Thanks
-
Wow, £800 to £1000?? I'd of thought compatible with other vehicles £180 to £250. I'm not paying £800 for a cam belt change. this needs more research, would need more than a stiff drink!

Also posted this in Outback Section.. Hi Guys, I have my Brothers 202 Subaru Outback AWD, it's done 57000 miles and I don't know if the Cam Belt has been changed; or even if it has a Cam belt or is it a Cam-Chian ?? Anyhow I wondered if it needs changing or not? and what's the average cost of changing the Cam Belt at a Subaru Dealership? Knowledgeable advise appreciated.. M

Brilliant, Thanks for that; it's exactly what I was looking for.. You can buy that set-up on eBay, but they're all from the USA .. I'll make one up as you've done.. I like the look of that Heavy Duty Battery you have.. I'm guessing it's an old model HD Battery. Cannot get them any longer. Thanks for your help; appreciated! Regards Moss -
Thanks Geoff & Jay, for the information and link. I'm not going to sell the car or registration.. But it's nice to know how it's done ; if ever I decide to sell either of them, Regards Moss

Thanks Geoff, Appreciated! Is it an easy process ?

Interesting, I've always had to reset the clocks and trips; radio code etc... This method sounds much better! Could someone explain how it's done when changing batteries over? Also what does ECU and OEBD stand for When not abbreviated ?? Thanks M -
I Certainly agree with you Aucky, We do not need automatic enhancements on our vehicles.. we can push buttons and turn switches ourselves.. Gimmicks..

Any of you guy's know what it costs £? to transfer a Registration Number to another car?
