  1. Hi guys. I have a 1996 import. I need to put a new windscreen in it. Can't go down insurance route so my question is this. Is it easy enough to put a 2nd hand one in and from what cars will I get one to fit. Ie wagon UK versions. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  2. Imports seem to be better on the classics. Spec wise. But I'm no expert. But beware as my mate has an import and his insurance is high. It hasn't made a real difference on mine and mine is an import as well Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  3. That was going to be my next question lol thanks stants. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  4. OK so I have looked into my car a bit and found I have a TD04L turbo. However the standard ecu I have on car is mapped for a VF22. Is this gonna be a massive issue? I do plan on a new turbo and remap in future but didn't want to spend a fortune just yet. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  5. Found now. Even better found silver ones 😊😊 with blue illumination. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  6. Anyone know where I can get a set of white ones to replace the standard black. Thanks. It's the v1/v2 style with the 3 twist knobs Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  7. It's only required for an mot if it was built with one. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  8. Lovely car mate. Welcome to the club. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  9. Looks nice. I am a classic fan myself. I can't stand the blob. (Have seen one or two nicely modded that look nice. ) but bank for buck classics are great. And they seem to be going right up in value. And as before make sure it's been owned by a fan over a boy racer. It's my experience that these cars need to be maintained well. Most boy racers tune them/ modify them but don't understand the basic needs of the car. Mine will be going in for service every 3k. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  10. Personally I would look to spend the money on a mint classic. Then spend the change on select upgrades/remaps etc. Especially if you find a nice closed deck. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  11. Lovely car mate. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  12. Yes all was good. Removed all spark plugs today. It does seem that the engine was flooded replacing spark plugs with new ones tomoz and letting some fuel evaporate. Will use a blowtorch tomoz to remove any residue. Put back together and hopefully will start. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  13. OK found a relay attached to a panel under steering column. Tested and working fine. All other smaller relays are for headlights fog lights etc Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  14. I can't see a main relay in the engine fuse box. Where else would it be located. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  15. Yes they are brilliant Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  16. Sensors are 1940 and within tolerance. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  17. Timing is good. Cheers guys. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  18. The covers look like a ball ache to get off. I have time. But really want her running now. I miss her lol. Could this problem happen if she is completely flooded. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  19. Not done that yet. That's next on my list. If the timing was out wouldn't that kill the engine? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  20. Got someone coming to do a compression test tonight. I don't want to keep cranking the engine. Think I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and send it to garage. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  21. Just took intercooler off and the y shape pipe underneath is fooked where it connects to turbo. Got a better seal but need a new one. Who ever fitted that wants shooting Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  22. Just popping out to get a new lead for my multimeter. Just closed car door on it grrr. Don't you just love it when small things keep happening lol. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  23. I posted some screenshots on how to test crankshaft and camshaft! Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk Yes sorry mate done that and all good. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  24. Battery was removed from the car completely. Definately getting a spark. All four ht leads gave me a jump. ( lack of a spark plug spanner meant an extension bar and hand were used lol) have been told that maybe a pop from the exhaust while reversing on to ramps could have blown a seal and it is now too flooded to start. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  25. Update. Just had someone look at car and strong smell of fuel when trying to start. Have been told an injector seal could have gone. Causing a massive over fuel. Gonna get the top off and check them. As well as drop out the spark plugs. Anyone heard of his before? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
